WATCH: Should the Boston Celtics re-sign veteran wing Evan Fournier?

Much of Fournier’s future in Boston could depend on the size of his next contract.

It might be an obvious answer in a world without an NBA salary cap and the tax penalties which come with going well over it, but the question of whether the Boston Celtics should try to retain the services of veteran wing Evan Fournier looms large in the team’s offseason plans.

Much will depend on what kind of paycheck the St. Maurice native commands in free agency, with some analysts believing Fournier could garner close to $20 million per season while others closer to half that much. The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast Celtics Beat talk with Yahoo Sports’ Keith Smith on this and several related issues for Boston’s potential offseason moves in a recent episode.

Be sure to watch the video embedded below to hear Smith, Evan Valenti, and Adam Kaufman share their thoughts on this most critical period for our favorite NBA franchise.
