Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger is leaving the school with a 30-16 overall record including 11,436 passing yards and 94 touchdowns. The dual-threat signal-caller also added on 1,903 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns in his four-year career.
For the past few months, Ehlinger has been preparing for the upcoming NFL draft in what looks like could be an uphill battle in terms of his draft position.
There’s a lot of questions surrounding his game, primarily his accuracy through the air. However, we cannot question his deep ball.
Ehlinger proved via a video on his Instagram story of just how strong his arm is.

👀 @sehlinger3 🚀 77 yards on a dime without putting the pedal all the way down. False narratives end on 3/11 at Texas pro day. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/x9jIyq40ix
With the way offenses are progressing towards a spread, vertical scheme — it’s good to know for him that if any box can be checked it’s this.
Ehlinger’s next step is Texas’ Pro Day on March 11. Without an NFL scouting combine this year, he’ll have to showcase skills like these if he wants to improve his draft stock before April.
