Sam Darnold was heading for the end zone and he wasn’t going to be denied in the fourth quarter of the New York Jets’ game with the Las Vegas Raiders on MetLife on Sunday.
Watch as the quarterback takes on Raiders’ DB Jeff Heath full-speed ahead and winds up in the end zone.
Heath was staggered by the shot and needed to be accompanied off the field.
The Jets, meanwhile, took advantage of a second chance on a 2-point conversion thanks to a Raiders’ pass-interference penalty and crawled within three points with 10-plus minutes left.
The drive went 96 yards, longest of the season for Gang Green and Darnold’s second rushing TD of the season tied him for the team lead in that category.
