A well-disguised blitz from cornerback Jaire Alexander delivered two points for the Green Bay Packers in the second quarter of Sunday’s season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Alexander raced off the left side of the offensive line and sacked Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins in the end zone, creating a safety and two points for the Packers.

Alexander was never touched on the blitz, and Cousins had no idea he was coming.

The safety, which came two plays after the Packers turned the ball over on downs at the 1-yard line, cut the Vikings’ lead to 7-5.

The sack was Alexander’s first full sack of his NFL career.

Mason Crosby added a field goal following the safety, giving the Packers a 8-7 lead with 8:08 left in the second quarter.
