Boston Celtics fourth-year shooting guard Jaylen Brown has been a pillar for his teams on both ends of the ball this season, supporting his teammates in their moments of need and unafraid to attack when they stumble.
And Sunday’s overtime win over the Orlando Magic might never have made it to the extra period if it were not for the timely baskets of the Cal-Berkeley product.
Brown was happy to lay in the cut when teammates Gordon Hayward and Jayson Tatum were cooking, but knew when to step up and attack in their gaps.
The Georgia native scored 19 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals in this game, mostly deferring to his other two neighbors on the wing.
But don’t mistake the esprit de corp on offense for passivity — Brown has shown an excellent ability to assess when he needs to attack.
Watch the video embedded above to see for yourself; it’s always a pleasure to watch the outspoken guard go to work.
