WATCH: Jayden Daniels connects with Malik Nabers for first touchdown against Mississippi State

The Tigers took an early two-score lead thanks to the classic Jayden Daniels-Malik Nabers connection.

The LSU Tigers took an early 10-0 first-quarter lead over Mississippi State on Saturday thanks to the connection that was so good last season between [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] and [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag].

LSU had to settle for a field goal after its first drive stalled thanks to a false start ahead of a fourth and short. But on drive No. 2, the Tigers found the end zone thanks to a fantastic throw from Daniels and an even better catch from Nabers.

Nabers got behind the Bulldogs’ defender on a deep fade, and near-perfect ball placement allowed him to make the catch before falling out of bounds.

Daniels started the game a perfect 12 of 12 for 115 yards, with half of those completions coming to Nabers, who already has 80 yards on six catches.
