Are we witnessing the final days of the Dennis Schroder era on the Boston Celtics? The German floor general has been playing for the team in a smaller role in recent games while overlapping with backcourt teammate Marcus Smart less, and the team has been playing better.
And while that might say as much about the team’s rotations and Schroder’s fit as it does about anything else, it is still something that bears monitoring. Mix in the recent rumbles of several teams around the NBA looking for a boost to their scoring capabilities after getting dinged up in the 2021-22 regular season having an interest in potentially trading for the veteran point guard, and you have to wonder if it will soon be the end of his time with the Celtics.
That was the topic of conversation in a recent episode of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast, where the crew dialed in on what they thought about Schroder’s future with the team.
Watch the clip embedded above to hear what they think of the German Rondo’s future in Boston.
