Watch as four-star K.J. Duff commits to Rutgers football: ‘I really believe in what they have going on’

K.J. Duff explains why he picked Rutgers football over Miami and North Carolina.

K.J. Duff is the latest addition to the Rutgers football class of 2024, the Long Island saying he hopes to become a part of the changing direction of the program.

The wide receiver/tight end becomes the third recruit ranked as a four-star. He is ranked as the top player in New York in this recruiting class per Rivals.

In speaking to Varsity Media, Duff outlined why he picked Rutgers, a program that is in its fourth season of a rebuild under head coach Greg Schiano:

“I really like what he’s doing with the program. They’re really trying to change it around there,” Duff told Varsity Media following his commitment.

“And a big pitch to me was, you know, come be the change. So, I really believe in what they have going on. And yeah, I want to go around and help the change.”

Last season for St. Anthony’s (Melville, N.Y.), he had 42 catches for 995 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
