The Golden State Warriors’ path to defending their title has been revealed. On Wednesday, the NBA officially announced 2022-23 schedules for all 30 teams, including the defending champs.
The Warriors will start the 82-game slate against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 19 with a ring ceremony at Chase Center in San Francisco. The Warriors will open the 2022-23 season with a three-game homestand against the Lakers, Denver Nuggets and Northern California rival Sacramento Kings.
The Warriors’ first road contest will be against Devin Booker, Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 25.
In the first half of the season, the Warriors play several featured matchups against projected playoff teams, including two games against the Miami Heat, three games against the Suns and two games against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Warriors will have both of their NBA Finals rematches against the Boston Celtics before the All-Star break. The Warriors will get a break for All-Star weekend beginning Feb. 19.
The Warriors’ final regular-season home game will come against Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 4 in San Francisco. Golden State will finish the season with road games against the Kings and Portland Trail Blazers.
