Warriors’ Draymond Green clears health and safety protocol, expected to return vs. Heat on Monday

Draymond Green has cleared the league’s health and safety protocol and is expected to return to the Warriors’ rotation on Monday against the Heat.

On Monday against the Miami Heat, the Golden State Warriors are expected to get back some help from the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol.

After missing two games against the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz, Draymond Green has cleared the league’s health and safety protocol. Along with Green’s return, Damion Lee has also cleared the protocol.

Monday’s contest against the Heat could be the first time the Warriors will have their regular rotation available since Dec. 14 against the New York Knicks.

Along with an added playmaker on offense, Green will bring a boost to Golden State’s defensive unit against the Heat. The three-time All-Star is averaging 8.4 points on 54.7% shooting from the floor with 7.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 30.6 minutes per game.

Lee will likely slide back into the rotation behind Steph Curry and Jordan Poole in the backcourt. The veteran scorer is averaging 8.4 points on 43.8% shooting from the field with 3.1 rebounds and one assist in 20.8 minutes per contest.

The Warriors will host Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry and the Heat at Chase Center on Monday at 7 p.m. PT.
