Video: Brian Kelleher’s family goes bananas after UFC 246 victory

Brian Kelleher’s family went absolutely bananas after his UFC 246 submission win.

In the UFC 246 headliner Saturday night, supportive families were on full display. After Conor McGregor pounded out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds, members of both fighters’ families entered the cage in support of their relative.

While they weren’t in the building Saturday night, UFC bantamweight [autotag]Brian Kelleher[/autotag]’s family was supporting from home. Watching their guy on pay-per-view, the Kelleher contingency focused intently. Upon the moment Kelleher (20-10 MMA, 4-3 UFC) got the tap, the living room went absolutely bananas.

Young and old jumped up and down and embraced as Kelleher celebrated in the middle of the cage at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

On Friday, the fight was unexpectedly elevated to the main card after Alexa Grasso vs. Claudia Gadelha was canceled. An underdog entering his UFC 246 bout against Ode Osbourne, Kelleher submitted Osbourne (8-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) by guillotine choke 2:49 into Round 1.

UFC 246 took place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
