Bill Belichick and North Carolina have been very busy in the transfer portal so far, landing some big commitments this week. With the holiday dead period approaching, Friday is a big day for visits in Chapel Hill.
And we can probably expect more commitments in the coming days.
As UNC is hosting more recruits on Friday, some big news broke that includes one of the Tar Heels’ rivals and a former player.
Per Pete Nakos, the Tar Heels have talked to former NC State wide receiver KC Concepcion’s camp on Thursday and both sides appear interested. The report states that Concepcion is planning on visiting North Carolina after the January 1st dead period in recruiting.
That’s some HUGE news for the Tar Heels.

The wide receiver had a breakout freshman season in 2023, catching 71 passes for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns. His numbers dipped a little in 2024 due to some injuries on the roster but he was still productive with 53 receptions for 460 yards and 6 touchdowns.
He entered the transfer portal after NC State’s regular season wrapped up and his brother, Arrion Concepcion, also decommitted from the Wolfpack. Arrion committed to Kansas State.
