UCLA one of four finalists to land three-star safety recruit

UCLA a finalist again.

The UCLA Bruins have some tough competition in a recruiting battle for three-star safety Rylon “Batman” Dillard-Allen.

Dillard-Allen, a 5′ 11″ safety from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona, has narrowed his search to only four teams. The Bruins are in the mix to land a commitment from Dillard-Allen with Alabama, Texas A&M, and the University of Washington.

Though the Bruins have not enjoyed the same recent success as those four schools in college football, Dillard-Allen’s interest in the Bruins is a welcome sign that they can still punch above their weight in the recruiting world, perhaps a sign of things to come for the program.

Though a bit undersized, Dillard-Allen showcases great play-recognition ability and an impressive willingness to deliver hard hits. Strong in run-support and the passing game, Dillard-Allen is a versatile player in the secondary who could add a lot to a Bruins’ secondary that lost a lot of defensive talent to the NFL Draft this season.
