Mark Jackson has coined quite a few expressions over the years during his time as an analyst with ESPN but the former 17-year NBA player tossed one out during the NBA Finals on Tuesday that was seemingly sent right back to him by social media.

During the closing minutes of Game 4, Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro hit a tough fadeaway shot on the move to cut the Los Angeles Lakers’ lead to just three points with 4:25 left in the game. Shortly afterward, the broadcast replayed the shot and Jackson went to work on the call.

“This just in: A Herro is more than a sandwich,” Jackson proclaimed.

The statement was immediately caught on Twitter as many users took the opportunity to roast Jackson for the comment in the closing minutes of a tightly-contested NBA Finals game. Naturally, the responses were funnier than the original expression by Jackson.

Jackson, along with Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy, is back on the call in Game 5 on Friday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Prepare accordingly for any future statements by Jackson…
