By remembering Colorado’s 2018 win over the Sun Devils, I was putting the good mojo out to help get the 2023 Buffaloes back to their winning ways on Saturday at Arizona State. This is a game that Colorado has to win if the Buffs want to take the next step in their development and become bowl-eligible for the first time since 2020.
CU will be facing a team that has struggled to establish itself in 2023. Arizona State has already seen three quarterbacks take snaps, and all three have also dealt with injuries. I believe the Buffs will strike while the iron is hot and race past the point spread.
My prediction: The Buffaloes will shut down the Sun Devils’ injury-riddled offense while lighting up the scoreboard in their own right offensively. Colorado wins, 35-10.
