Titans have among easiest remaining schedules in NFL

After these next two games, the Titans have a very tough five-game stretch.

After getting off to a 2-1 start, the Tennessee Titans are projected to have among the easiest schedules in the NFL the rest of the way, according to multiple outlets.

Per Pro Football Focus, Tennessee’s remaining schedule is the second-easiest in the NFL, behind only the Miami Dolphins. The strength of schedule for the Titans’ first three games ranked 16th, right in the middle of the pack.

ESPN’s Mike Clay came up with his own strength of schedule projections, and in them he has the Titans ranked fourth, behind the Buffalo Bills, Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Interestingly enough, all four AFC South teams rank in the top 10 of Clay’s projections.

The Titans have two very winnable games the next two weeks, with matchups against the currently winless New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars.

However, the schedule will get brutal in the weeks to follow, as Tennessee has matchups against the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints.

Having a stretch like that makes it even more important that the Titans win these next two games in order to leave some wiggle room for what will easily be their toughest stretch of contests during the 2021 campaign.
