X-Receiver 1 – Brennan Eagles
One of the top breakout candidates for the Longhorns in 2020, Brennan Eagles will have the responsibility of becoming the No. 1 threat in this Texas offense. When Collin Johnson went down injured last season, Eagles was the guy to step into the X-receiver role.
Going into his junior season, the former four-star recruit has played in 23 career games, starting in eight of them. Eagles’ 2019 was a good one, having 32 receptions for 522 yards and six touchdowns while primarily being a rotational player.
Now as the main outside receiver, Eagles should be expected to put up huge numbers. LonghornsWire has given him preseason second-team All-Big 12 honors. Hopefully, Sam Ehlinger has a new favorite target in No. 13.
