247Sports experts crystal-ball 2024 3-star OT Will Nolan to Iowa Hawkeyes

A trio of 247Sports crystal-ball predictions are in for the Iowa Hawkeyes to land a commitment from 2024 3-star offensive tackle Will Nolan.

The Iowa Hawkeyes just landed their 10th commitment in the 2024 recruiting class.

That pledge was from consensus three-star offensive tackle Bodey McCaslin. Out of St. Charles East in Illinois, McCaslin joined East Buchanan’s Cody Fox and Lincoln Way East’s Josh Janowski as offensive line commits in the Hawkeyes’ 2024 class.

If a string of recent 247Sports crystal ball predictions come to fruition, there just might be another name to add to that list in short order.

Hawkeye Insider‘s Sean Bock was the first to submit a crystal ball prediction in favor of Iowa to land three-star offensive tackle Will Nolan. That happened on Tuesday night. Less than 10 minutes later, Cyclone Alert‘s Nick Osen followed up with a crystal ball prediction for Nolan to the Hawkeyes as well.

Then, 247Sports national recruiting analyst Allen Trieu followed suit with his own crystal ball prediction favoring the Hawkeyes for Nolan on Wednesday morning.

It certainly appears as though the writing may be on the wall that Iowa’s 11th commitment is right around the corner.

Per 247Sports, Nolan is regarded as a three-star prospect, as the nation’s No. 22 offensive tackle and as the No. 9 player from the state of Illinois. In the 247Sports composite rankings, Nolan is ranked as the No. 710 player nationally, as the No. 61 offensive tackle and as the No. 16 player from Illinois.

Rivals also rates Nolan as a three-star offensive tackle and as the No. 22 player from Illinois.

Out of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Ill., Nolan is listed as a 6-foot-6, 275 pound offensive tackle prospect. The Hawkeyes offered Nolan on April 25.

Iowa joined a list of offers that includes Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Syracuse, and Vanderbilt among others.

Here’s a look at Nolan’s Hudl tape, his full recruiting profile, his vitals and his offers sheet.

Will Nolan named SEC Freshman of the Week

More SEC honors for Auburn athletes.

Auburn’s Will Nolan was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after a win at Georgia Tech.

Nolan, who is from Derbyshire, England, beat Georgia Tech’s Angel Guerrero 6-4 and 6-1 to clinch Auburn’s first road win of the season. He is now 5-0 in singles and has not lost a single set. He is also 2-0 in doubles.

“Will has been an unbelievable addition to our team this year,” head coach Bobby Reynolds said. “His carefree but intense on-court personality has given him confidence to anchor this team at No. 6. He battled through adversity this past week with an illness that kept him from practicing, but he assured the coaches he was ready to battle vs. Georgia Tech.

“He’s a player who wants the match to come down to his court and thrives in big moments and in the spotlight.”

With the win, Auburn improved to 5-0 on the season and is now ranked No. 24 in the Tennis Channel/USTA Top 25 and No. 24 in the ITA rankings. It’s the first time the Tigers have been ranked since 2013.

Auburn has two home matches this weekened. They will face South Alabama Friday at 2 p.m. and Tulane on Sunday at noon. Entry is free and free pizza is being given away.
