Who are the experts taking in Chargers vs. Jaguars?

Find out who national pundits are favoring in the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Los Angeles Chargers are considered 3.5-point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3 of the 2022 regular season. The over/under is 42.5 points, per Tipico Sportsbook.

That means oddsmakers are taking bets on whether the two teams will combine to score more than or fewer than 42.5 points.

My score prediction for the game is a 24-14 win for the Bolts, with a combined total of 48 points. So if I were putting money behind my prediction, I’d bet the over.

As for game picks, analysts are rolling with the Bolts in this one.

Week 3 NFL picks: Broncos consensus underdogs to 49ers

Most experts expect the 49ers to beat the Broncos on Sunday Night Football. Do you agree?

Week 3 of the NFL season sees the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers facing off on Sunday Night Football. Broncos Wire takes a look at the temperature of the NFL landscape and their picks for this important game.

Pro Football Talk-NBC Sports: 49ers win

PFT contributors Mike Florio and Michael David Smith both predict a Denver loss. “The Broncos are tangled up in the mechanics of play calling,” Florio said. “The 49ers have an elite roster. Now that the quarterback situation has been resolved, look for the 49ers to begin to thrive.”

Sporting News: 49ers win

Vinnie Iyer sees the 49ers coming into Denver and pulling out a win. “The 49ers’ winning formula stays the same with Jimmy Garoppolo,” Iyer said. As with most writers across the board, he sees the Broncos’ offensive inconsistencies as an Achilles’ heel towards points on the board.

ESPN49ers win

ESPN’s Eric Moody and Seth Walder both predict a 49ers win by identical 23-20 scores. San Francisco writer Nick Wagoner even predicted that the Niners would not allow a touchdown pass by the Broncos’ Russell Wilson.

CBS Sports49ers win

CBS Sports writers collectively agree that the Broncos’ red zone failures in the first two games of 2022 do not bode well against the 49ers. Writer Jordan Dajani highlighted the irony of the 49ers’ keeping quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo during the offseason, believing that his consistency will be the key to the game.

NFL Network: 49ers win

NFL Network’s Around the NFL editor Gregg Rosenthal rounds out a unanimous panel of writers foreseeing a 49ers win. “I have questions about Denver’s offensive line that will be answered this week in a way they weren’t against Seattle and Houston,” Rosenthal said.

Denver being an underdog at home is an unusual occurrence. Can the Broncos prove the experts wrong?

Experts split on picking Panthers or Chargers for Week 3 matchup

Panthers vs. Chargers: Reviewing expert picks for Week 3 matchup.

The Panthers will face the Chargers on the road this weekend and once again the oddsmakers are expecting them to lose by a touchdown. However, there are some experts who think they can pull off an upset.

Here’s a review of this week’s expert picks.

ESPN: Chargers

All eight of the experts at ESPN who have submitted their picks this week are going with the Chargers.

CBS Sports: Panthers

Will Brinson at CBS Sports has Carolina winning in an upset, 31-24.

Sporting News: Chargers

Tadd Haislop at Sporting News is picking LA, 26-20.

MMQB: Chargers

All six of the MMQB’s experts are predicting a Chargers win.

Yahoo Sports: Panthers

Frank Schwab at Yahoo Sports is predicting some rookie mistakes by Justin Herbert and a Panthers win.

USA Today: Chargers

Everyone at USA Today is going with the Chargers.

While losing Christian McCaffrey is a significant blow, we feel like this team is overdue for an all-around surprise performance. One key factor is the presence of offensive line coach Pat Meyer, who held the same position for the Chargers the last three years. If his understanding of LA’s offensive linemen can help get Carolina’s pass rush going and pressure Herbert into committing a couple of turnovers, it will go a long way towards a win.

Panthers 31, Chargers 24.
