What Missouri media is saying about Georgia ahead of Saturday’s matchup

Georgia (6-2) is set to visit Missouri (5-3) in a rescheduled matchup at noon on Saturday, televised on the SEC Network.

The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 14 but positive COVID-19 testing within the Tigers program caused the game to be postponed.

The Bulldogs will see the field for the first time since a 45-16 win at South Carolina two weeks ago after last week’s game versus Vanderbilt was also postponed due to more positive COVID-19 testing.

The Tigers are coming off of a 50-48 win versus Arkansas.

The defense overall has been great – it’s the second-best in the SEC – and it doesn’t allow a whole slew of big plays, but teams are able to dink and dunk way too consistently. Florida and Alabama each bombed away for over 400 yards, and Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi State all pushed past 200 yards.”

The Tigers are coming off of a 50-48 win versus Arkansas where the Tigers gave up 566 yards but managed to pull off a late comeback to stun the Razorbacks.

On the other side, the Bulldogs had an off-week thanks to more positive COVID-19 testing, this time inside the Vanderbilt program.

That game was moved to Dec. 19, so Georgia will see field for the first time since beating South Carolina in Columbia 45-16.

Prediction: Georgia is the healthiest it has been since heading into a matchup with Kentucky on Oct. 31.

Pre-season All-American safety Richard LeCounte and freshman running back Kendall Milton won’t be on the sidelines for Saturday’s game at Missouri, but Pre-season All-SEC First-Team nose tackle Jordan Davis could be back on the field for the Bulldogs.

Either way, Georgia is playing well on both sides of the ball, averaging 38 points per game since the loss to Florida on Nov. 7.

And on defense, Georgia ranks second in the SEC in sacks with 23 and held South Carolina to 16 points two weeks ago.

Georgia’s pass rush will be too much for the Tigers and young quarterback Connor Blazelack. Georgia wins 38-17
