Riley Herbst provides big update on plans for the 2025 NASCAR season

Riley Herbst provides a big update on his plans for the 2025 NASCAR season. Could Herbst make a massive jump to the NASCAR Cup Series?

[autotag]Riley Herbst[/autotag] must look for a new ride in NASCAR after the 2024 season. Stewart-Haas Racing announced it would shut down after 2024, leaving its six NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series drivers without seats next season. Herbst is one of the two Xfinity Series drivers looking for a new home, and it could come in any three NASCAR levels.

Over the weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, Herbst talked about the process of finding a new ride in NASCAR for 2025. The main goal is to be in a competitive seat, which includes the NASCAR Truck Series and Cup Series.

“I think there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes, but it’s not really just Riley Herbst it’s Monster Energy as well,” Herbst said. “The biggest thing is trying to see what’s right for me, what’s right for Monster Energy. I have really good people around me with Josh Jones and Kevin Harvick trying to guide me in the right position and I’m gonna lean on their experience. I have last year, and I’m going to again this year, and there’s a lot of options on the table, so we’re looking forward to everything and hearing everybody out.”

“At least for myself and my sponsor it’s important to be in competitive rides. I think that the easiest way to learn is to surround yourself with good people and put yourself in good equipment. That’s first and foremost, so I think that’s going to be our priority for us this offseason, where we land, is to be in a ride that’s extremely competitive whether it be in any three series.”

Throughout the silly season process, Herbst has been linked to Front Row Motorsports and 23XI Racing, with the latter being the most heated landing spot. The driver of the No. 98 Xfinity car could join Monster Energy at 23XI Racing in a third car. However, Herbst isn’t being close-minded, as any competitive ride in NASCAR would be ideal for him and his camp.

NASCAR penalty report released for races at Nashville in 2024

NASCAR has revealed its penalty report for the races at Nashville Superspeedway in 2024. Find out who has been penalized by NASCAR!

NASCAR has finished its only date at Nashville Superspeedway during the 2024 season, as Joey Logano won the Cup Series race to clinch a playoff spot. Logano was all good with inspections; however, three penalties are coming from the weekend in the Music City. The most notable penalty comes from Carson Hocevar in the Cup Series.

Hocevar was docked 25 driver points and fined $50,000 for intentionally spinning Harrison Burton under caution on Sunday evening. The driver of the No. 77 car falls from 22nd to 24th in the point standings. As for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, everything was cleared; however, the NASCAR Truck Series is a different story.

Following Christian Eckes’ historic victory on Friday night, Matt Mills’ No. 42 team and Matt Crafton’s No. 88 team were found to have one unsecured lug nut on their vehicles. Therefore, Mills’ crew chief Leonard and Crafton’s crew chief Jeriod Prince were each fined $2,500. It is a busy weekend for NASCAR’s penalty report, and hopefully, that will change in Chicago.

Christian Eckes wins, leads every lap in Truck Series race at Nashville, full results

Christian Eckes wins, leads every lap in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway. Check out the full results from Nashville!

It’s [autotag]Christian Eckes[/autotag]’ world, and we’re just living in it. Eckes won the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday night, earning his third win of the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season. The driver of the No. 19 truck not only won the race, but he led every single lap at Nashville. Timothy Peters, at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2012, was the last Truck Series driver to accomplish this feat.

Eckes was simply dominant, as no other driver had an answer on Friday night. The McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver led 150 laps and earned seven playoff points. Corey Heim was the closest to passing Eckes on the long runs during the first two stages, but he didn’t have enough to pass the No. 19 truck, not even on pit road.

It was a historic night for Eckes, who accomplished something that hadn’t been accomplished in the Truck Series in 12 years. If this doesn’t make people look at Eckes for future opportunities, nothing will because it was a historic performance that no one will forget in the Music City.
