The Stanley Cup had a message for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shortly after the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup for the second consecutive season Wednesday: Don’t even think about it.
The Cup, obviously aware of Brady’s hijinks during the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl parade on the water delivered the following message:
FYI I’m too heavy to throw, @TomBrady.

And it didn’t forget Brady’s partner in so many humorous moments, Rob Gronkowski, either.
…and catch @RobGronkowski

Now, that is the definition of a power play.
In case you were wondering, the Cup weighs 34.5 pounds compared to 7 for the Super Bowl hardware.
Of course, the Cup was referencing Brady’s boat-to-boat toss of the Vince Lombardi Trophy during the Buccaneers’ celebration in February.

The Cup, obviously, wants no part of sinking to the bottom of the bay.
