“LEAN” to SPORTING KANSAS CITY (+210) as it has been rolling of late.

Taking down a Carlos Vella-led LAFC is no joke, and it did it with ease. Sporting KC has an elite attack, averaging almost 2 goals per game and has scored 11 goals over its last five matches.

Led by F Dániel Sallói, who is tied with the second-most goals in MLS, Sporting KC should continue its role, and as a plus-money bet, it’s the best value on the money line.

Sporting also downed Colorado 3-1 when they last met in June. KC is 5-3-0 on the road as well. Combine it all, and it’s the better bet.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 2.5 (-155) as the best value in this match. Sporting KC has scored 33 goals on the season.

Colorado also has a great attack, scoring 22 goals through 15 matches. Led by F Michael Barrios with 4 goals, the Rapids hit the Over in half of their last 12 matches.

As for Sporting KC, over 2.5 hit in nine of their last 12 games. Combined, both sides have nine clean sheets in 32 matches. I wouldn’t expect either to get one Saturday.

Sporting Kansas City 2, FC Dallas 1

BET on SPORTING KANSAS CITY (-200) as the better side should come out on top. Especially at home, Sporting should have an advantage.

While FC Dallas may be coming off a decisive victory, it’s much less impressive when you realize the Galaxy were without F Chicharito and F Jonathan dos Santos.

So far this season, Sporting has used their home-field advantage well, having yet to lose through eight games in front of their fans. They’ve won five of eight home matches and this should make their sixth win of the season at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the OVER 2.5 (-165) as it’s the far better bet on the total.

Sporting has had one of the best offenses in the league and ranks second in shots and third in goals in MLS. Also, Dallas ranks in the bottom half in save percentage.

Flip the script, and it helps the case even further. Dallas has a capable attack with 18 goals through 15 matches but has given up 23.

Combine the solid attacking presence from both sides and the Over makes the most sense.

LA Galaxy 3, Sporting KC 2

BET on the GALAXY (+150) because they’re at home, and they could very well be the superior side. With F Chicharito leading MLS in goals, the Galaxy sit third in the Western Conference.

However, their points per game are higher than Sporting KC, who sit second in the West but have played two more matches. Sporting ranks No. 1 in goals inside the 18, key passes, goals and passing percentage. They’re a very technical team.

If the Galaxy can break them down with the league’s best goal-scorer leading the way, they’ll be able to come out on top. LA also plays much better at home, securing four wins in five matches.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” on the OVER 3.5 (+125) as a risky but easily feasible play. Both teams rank in the top five in goals scored, and without many losses combined, they typically are able to play at their opponent’s level.

Betting on 4 goals is a huge risk as the Galaxy have managed only to top 3 combined goals three times. Sporting KC’s attack is no joke, though, as they’ve hit 4 in a match in three of their last six games.

It’s two incredibly talented attacks against two subpar defenses. Expect a shootout, and in a plus-money situation, the Over is the way to go.

BET on KANSAS CITY (+115) because despite Vela’s return for LAFC it’s still the better side. It’s also important to note that Vela doesn’t appear to be at full strength.

Twenty-four-year-old Sporting F Dániel Sallói is one of the best goal scorers in MLS, and Kansas City should be able to come out on top at home.

KC has the seventh-most interceptions and ninth-best duel rate. It has given up 14 goals to opponents but is competent defensively. Expect Sporting to come out aggressive at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS on the Under 3.5 (-170) because it’s just a bit too pricey. With Vela back and 25-year-old LAFC F Corey Baird stepping up this season, there’s a good chance the Over hits, but at this price, it’s too much.

You’d never want to bet that Vela can’t get this team going, and with him in the lineup, LAFC could easily have 10 more goals on the season.

Expect a high-scoring match, but I wouldn’t ride it as LAFC and its opponent hasn’t topped 2 goals since before the international break.

We could have some fireworks Wednesday, as these two sides jockey for position at the top of the Western Conference table behind the Seattle Sounders.

Sporting Kansas City 1, Austin FC 0

PASS Sporting KC (-140) because it’s a bit rich when their leading scorer is still out on international duty.

Forward Alan Pulido will conclude his international duty with a game later on Saturday as Mexico will take on Honduras.

For this event, Pulido’s absence will leave a huge question mark for Sporting KC’s offense. Sporting KC has 15 goals on the season, and Pulido has a third of them.

His absence will be brutal, and it could mean the underdogs are a better play, especially as Austin FC (+310) is looking to get another solid result after that draw with Seattle.

However, at a full capacity Children’s Mercy Park, I wouldn’t bet against the home side either. Forward Daniel Salloi is expected to be active for Sporting KC which should help their attack.

Austin FC allows just over a goal per game, so it wouldn’t be shocking for something to find the back of the net.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the Under 2.5 (+105) because of Pulido being out. On top of that, the Under being plus-money presents good value.

With Pulido sidelined, Sporting KC’s attack will take a hit. For Austin FC, it has only scored 5 goals in 7 games, which both give good reasons to take the Under. Sporting KC scores nearly 2 goals per game.

In a May 9 meeting, Sporting KC beat Austin FC 2-1, but Austin was playing with only 10 men for the last third of the game and actually held up quite well. The Under is the only good value.

OVER 2.5 (-175) is a little on the steep side, but playing the alternate line of Over 3.5 (+135) is a tad risky. SPORTING KC (-154), an overwhelming favorite in this first-round matchup vs. San Jose (+375), is the play on its home pitch in suburban Kansas City. These two last met Aug. 18, 2019, with Sporting KC claiming a 2-1 victory. SKC has won 13 of its past 15 home matches against the Earthquakes across all competitions.

It has won three in a row at home, outscoring the competition by a 7-1 count, including an impressive 4-0 victory against the Colorado Rapids on Oct. 25.

Over/Under (O/U)

The alternate line of OVER 2.5 (-200) is a good bet, albeit a little on the pricey side. Over 2.5 goals has cashed in each of the past four home games against San Jose. Over 3.5 goals (+120) is worth a small-unit play, too, as it is just too tempting to pass up, but confidence is not as high as the latter line.
