Former MSU basketball C Xavier Tillman gets traded to Boston Celtics

BREAKING: Xavier Tillman has a new home:

Major news is circulating the NBA’s circles as the trade deadline is quickly approaching. The news and changes have now affected a former Spartan.

Xavier Tillman, who has spent his entire NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies, has been traded to the Boston Celtics.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news via X, revealing that the Celtics would be trading two second round picks for the center.

Tillman has averaged 6.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists over his 3 and a half seasons in the NBA.

Jaren Jackson Jr. to play for team USA in FIBA World Cup

Jaren Jackson Jr. will be playing for team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Upon the release of team USA’s roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup it has now became known that former Michigan State star Jaren Jackson Jr. will be playing for the United States in the tournament.

The tournament is set to begin on August 25th and will be hosted by the nations of Japan, Philippines and Indonesia.

The United States will be a part of Group C along with Greece, Jordan and New Zealand. All of the games will be played at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.

Draymond Green is getting a lot of money to stay with Golden State

Draymond Green turned some heads when he opted out of the final year of his contract with the Golden State Warriors, but it now appears that the former MSU star has made the right decision.

According to a report from the Athletic’s Shams Charania, Green will be returning to Golden State on a contract that is worth $100 million over the next four seasons with a player option on the final year.

The Grizzlies are picking up the team-optioned year on Xavier Tillman’s contract

Xavier Tillman isn’t going anywhere. The Memphis Grizzlies have officially announced that they are exercising the team option on Tillman’s contract, keeping him in Memphis for at least one more season.

Tillman had a small breakout towards the end of the 2022-23 season, showing the value he brings to the National Basketball Association. He will look now to receive a new contract through another good 2023-24 season.

Draymond Green is set to become an unrestricted free agent after opting out:

Draymond Green has made his decision, and he is officially opting out of the last year of his contract with the Golden State Warriors. Green will now look to make his next move, gaining long term stability for the next phase of his career.
