Rihanna’s Panthers dress sparks jealousy from Falcons?

The Falcons might be feeling like there’s a steel knife in their windpipe after seeing Rihanna don a new Panthers dress this weekend.

Do the Atlanta Falcons hate that Rihanna loves the Carolina Panthers?

On Saturday, shots of the global pop superstar donning a Panthers-themed dress made their rounds on Twitter. As later noted by Carolina Blitz editor-in-chief Vashti Hurt, the piece—from Malian/Senegalese designer Lamine Badian Kouyaté—is part of XULY.Bët’s fall 2023 collection.

Predictably so, the organization and its fans were extremely excited over the music and fashion icon sporting the Carolina black and blue. But the look and its subsequent reaction definitely caught the attention (and feelings) from a divisional foe . . .

We’re not going to lie, Atlanta. That’s a pretty witty reply and one heck of a callback.

But, uh, that look may be a bit out of style. RiRi, through a stroll through John F. Kennedy International Airport, wore that throwback Chris Chandler jersey way back in May of 2015.

Nonetheless, even if the Panthers are more “in” at the moment, maybe there’s room for a few teams under Rihanna’s umbrella . . .

. . . eh, eh, eh.

Rihanna wears Panthers jersey, sends fans into frenzy on Twitter

Rihanna just made the Panthers feel like they’re the only team in the world.

Make some room, Steph Curry. There’s a new Carolina Panthers superfan on the block—and ooh na na, you probably know her name.

Pop culture icon and Super Bowl LVII halftime performer Rihanna rocked a Panthers jersey during a recent trip out to a Tokyo music club. The video of the nine-time Grammy winner in the black and blue threads hit Twitter on Saturday afternoon and, of course, caused quite the stir amongst the Carolina faithful.

Needless to say, fans had love on the brain . . .

Rihanna turned Salomon into a big name at the Super Bowl but this sneaker is going to keep the party going

The XT-6 is the perfect entry point for the Salomon wave you’ve been itching to be part of.

Without fail, every time an artist performs for the Super Bowl’s halftime show, their streams blow up. It’s essentially a big commercial.

Just ask Rihanna. Her streams skyrocketed across platforms, according to Billboard. And that’s Rihanna. She was already popular. The Super Bowl made her an even bigger star.

The same can be said for Salomon after the popstar wore the Salomon x Maison Margiela MM6. It’s a sneaker the brand created in collaboration with luxury retailer Maison Margiela. Just that moment boosted Salomon’s search traffic on Google Trends by 4000%.

If you want in on the Salomon trend, you’re probably not going to want to buy a huge collab like the one she wore to get started.

Instead, we brought the perfect starter pair to the set of Special Delivery — the XT-6.

This trial sneaker is both functional and fly and has the sneaker world buzzing right now. You can check it out on the latest episode of SD.

Patrick Mahomes said Andy Reid threatened to bench any player who left the locker room to watch Rihanna during the Super Bowl

The Chiefs were robbed of seeing Rihanna’s performance.

Rihanna’s halftime show was pretty incredible, man. She hasn’t released any new music in years, but this show proved she doesn’t really need to because she still plays her hits really, really well.

It was a treat that we all got to see her perform live again on the biggest stage in sports. Well, almost all of us anyway.

Patrick Mahomes can assure you that not a single player on the Chiefs managed to catch a glimpse of Rihanna’s halftime show.

Why? Because Andy Reid was ready to bench anyone who left the locker room to take a peak. Seriously. Mahomes revealed this to us on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

“I heard it was great. Coach Reid told us ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking. Because you’re not playing the rest of the game.”

Sheesh. You can tell Mahomes is dead serious, too. He cracks a bit of a smile there and eventually laughs, but this is 100% a thing that actually happened. It’s hilarious.

You can’t blame Andy — he was trying to win a Super Bowl and the Chiefs were down by 10 at the half. Of course, everyone’s full attention needed to be on the game.

But coach…It’s Rihanna! I mean, look at this face. This is how she started her performance.

It’s no wonder more people actually watched the performance than the game, according to data from FOX Sports.

Not a single one of those folks played for the Chiefs, though. Salute to them for having such discipline. They’re better than me.

Justina Miles’ ASL performance of Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show will have you hyped all over again

Find someone who had more fun during halftime than Miles. You can’t.

Chances are you’re still replaying Rihanna’s incredible Super Bowl 57 halftime show in your head even after getting a full night of rest.

This is completely understandable. RiRi’s first performance since 2018 absolutely lived up to the hype and then some — not the least of all because she took the stage while pregnant.

But arguably no one had more fun during the show than Justina Miles, a 20-year-old deaf American Sign Language performer from Philadelphia who got to sign Rihanna’s performance as well as the Black national anthem “Lift Every Voice and Sing” alongside Sheryl Lee Ralph.

That right there is pure and infectious joy.

Speaking to the media before her Super Bowl debut, Miles said she was thrilled not only to perform alongside Rihanna, but also Abbott Elementary star Ralph during the pregame show while providing a moment of visibility for the Black deaf community.

“To really bring that empowerment to millions and millions of Black deaf people all over the country who’ve never really seen that before. I feel that is truly lifting every voice, even my voice.” Miles said via an interpreter.

As for the halftime show, Miles just wanted to make sure those following along in ASL had as much fun as she did.

“I value the opportunity to make it possible for all deaf people to enjoy these songs, and not have them miss out on the full Super Bowl experience,” Miles said.

As clips of Miles from Sunday continue to go viral, it’s obvious she did just that.

See Rihanna’s incredible full Super Bowl 2023 halftime show

What a halftime show.

By so many accounts — including our own — the Super Bowl 57 halftime show was awesome.

Rihanna sang so many of her incredible hits from a legendary career, and beyond some of the memes that popped up — which were great — there was so much to see, including that she was pregnant.

And that means you’re going to want to rewatch it. And if you haven’t? You should! There’s so much cool stuff to take in that I missed when I watched it live. Our gallery of photos from it are worth checking out too.

So here it is. Watch the full show one more time after Super Bowl 57:

Tom Holland disappointed fans by not performing Umbrella during Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show

Any excuse to watch the Tom Holland performance of Umbrella is a good one.

Rihanna’s return to the stage after seven long years was a welcome one as the singer entertained fans nationwide during the Super Bowl halftime performance. Not only was it an amazing set, Rihanna chose the most epic way to announce her second pregnancy.

Overall, fans were elated with the entire production. There was just one thing — or person, rather — that they thought was missing. While there was a significant amount of speculation around whether or not a special guest would join RiRi on stage, Tom Holland was a popular pick for dark horse candidate to reprise his incredible performance of “Umbrella” from “Lip Sync Battle.”

Holland, who is better known as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, delivered one of the greatest pop culture moments of the last decade while reminding everyone that, yes, he absolutely CAN dance.

It was highly unlikely that the web-slinger would have made an appearance in Glendale, but that didn’t stop fans from expressing their disappointment online. That’s just how iconic that video is.

Is Rihanna pregnant? Her rep has an answer after Super Bowl halftime show speculation

Rihanna stunned during the Super Bowl halftime show but left fans wondering if she’s expecting.

Rihanna absolutely stunned with her gravity-defying Super Bowl 57 halftime performance Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The halftime show was highly anticipated not only because she’s obviously exceptional — or because it almost always is regardless — but also because this was her first performance since the Grammy Awards in 2018. And she delivered quite a show with a medley of some of her greatest hits, including “Rude Boy,” “Work,” “Run This Town” and “Umbrella.”

But her halftime performance also led to some intense internet speculation about whether or not the superstar is pregnant.

Rihanna is dating rapper A$AP Rocky, and she gave birth to their son last May. And following her Super Bowl performance, The Hollywood Reporter said a representative confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant.

So if you had a feeling Rihanna is expecting again, you were right!

LeBron James was booed at the Super Bowl, so naturally he put on an imaginary crown

The superstar seemed unfazed by the crowd reaction.

Just days after breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James made a trip to watch the Super Bowl.

James is a longtime friend of Super Bowl halftime performer Rihanna. While he just accomplished one of the most impressive records in sports history and it won’t be broken any time soon, the fans didn’t show him much love.

The four-time NBA Finals MVP was shown on the jumbotron at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. But the crowd — many of them either locals or who root for the nearby Phoenix Suns or out-of-towners who typically cheer for the Eagles — wasn’t having it and showered him with boos.

The superstar seemed unfazed by the reaction, however, and responded by putting on an invisible crown as a nod to his “King James” nickname.

This was a fun way for LeBron to proclaim his royalty in front of the tens of thousands of fans who attended the big game.
