Colorado Rapids at LA Galaxy odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Colorado Rapids at LA Galaxy odds and lines, with MLS picks and predictions.

On the Tuesday MLS slate the Colorado Rapids (9 wins, 4 losses, 4 draws) travel south to take on LA Galaxy (11-6-2) at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, CA. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Colorado Rapids vs. LA Galaxy odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.

The Galaxy are expected to be down their most lethal attacker with Chichartio’s status up in the air. However, his absence hasn’t matted much as they’ve won three of their last four games.

LA has struggled against the Western Conference’s best this season, losing all three fixtures it has had against the two top sides. This will be its first match against fourth-placed Colorado.

The defensive-minded Rapids will play LA Galaxy in two of their next four games. Colorado has also been hot lately winning three of its last five matches.

Prediction

LA Galaxy 1, Colorado Rapids 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to the DRAW +250 as both teams are surging, and the Galaxy – who have typically been dominant at home – will be without their main scoring threat.

The Rapids are a quality defensive side that has drawn two of their last six games. The Galaxy also have two draws in their last six matches.

Expect a hard-fought match that ends in a draw as neither side has a drastic advantage in this one.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (-145) as the best value in the match.

Colorado is a premier defensive side that has allowed an average of just one goal per game through 17 matches. That mark is good for the second-fewest goals in the West, just one more than the Seattle Sounders.

The Galaxy handle their business in the opposite manner with 30 goals scored in 19 fixtures. They’ve turned those goals in 11 wins although this will be a much greater challenge.

The Galaxy’s last three games have stayed Under the total, and the Under has hit six of the last eight for the Rapids. Combine those two, and despite a lofty price, the Under is still the best option.
