Best photos of Ohio State’s win over Wisconsin

Ohio State more than took care of business against Wisconsin Saturday night. See some of the best photos of the blackout win.

Ohio State was awfully impressive against a Wisconsin team that was thought to have a pretty good defense. However, the Buckeyes’ weapons and varied attack were just too much for the Badgers to handle, and the result was a bushel of yards that resulted in a 52-point output and a big win to kick off the Big Ten portion of the schedule.

The scene on Saturday night was a great one too. The blackout crowd in combination with Ohio State donning its all-black uniforms made for some great, high-definition images that our photographers were able to capture.

We try to share those with you after every game, and this might be one of the best forms of eye candy as far as that goes you’ll see all season.

Here are some of the best photos from Ohio State’s impressive win over Wisconsin on Saturday night.

Kirk Herbstreit goes full dad mode when son enters Ohio State game

ICYM Kirk Herbstreit gets to announce his son Zak on the field for Ohio State. #GoBucks

Kirk Herbstreit takes a lot of heat as a college football analyst. Many times that heat comes from passionate Ohio State fans who believe Herbie doesn’t back the Buckeyes strongly enough as a former player.

I happen to feel that Herbstreit does a very nice job of staying objective, as he should in his job, even though he bleeds scarlet and gray. So much better than the antics of say … I don’t know … Desmond Howard?

In case you missed it, the ESPN analyst went full dad mode late in the game versus Wisconsin late Saturday night. The game was well in hand, many people had left the stands or turned the television off after a lopsided score. With just a few ticks left on the clock, Zak Herbstreit entered the game and you could just hear the joy in ol’ dad’s voice.

Watch the clip below and hear how Kirk cheers on Zak commenting on everything from how he’s pushing the line to his uncertainty about the younger Herbstreit’s choice of facial hair.

If you’re a father, you know how special of a moment that had to be. Especially with new media contracts in play, this could be the last time Herbstreit calls a game in Ohio Stadium.

I’m sure there will be some Twitter trolls ridiculing Herbstreit for being a dad in that moment, and you should feel free to shut them down immediately. It was cool to see a guy that has probably missed many milestones be able to step out of the booth for a few seconds and sit in the stands as a father with the rest of us.

WATCH: What Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said about Ohio State after the game

Watch and listen to everything Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst had to say about Ohio State after the Buckeyes won going away. #GoBucks

It wasn’t pretty for Wisconsin, but it was a thing of beauty for the Ohio State football team in Game 4 of the 2022 season. What was supposed to be a defensive struggle turned out to be an offensive laser light show for the Buckeyes.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw five touchdown passes. Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson both went over 100 yards rushing, and OSU probably could have put up more points than it did in a 52-21 rout.

Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst faced the music after the ugly loss and didn’t shy away from the performance or the questions. He was quick to compliment the Ohio State team he just faced as soon as he sat down, but had many other things to say as well.

If you’re at all interested in what the opposing head man said from the opposite sideline for the Badgers, watch the below and listen to Chryst praise the skill of Ohio State, the lack of execution from his team, the inability to stop the Buckeyes’ offense and more.

Now that Ohio State has passed what we all thought was a pretty stern test, now it’s time to prepare to host Rutgers next Saturday. It’s the next step on the journey.

WATCH: Ohio State head coach Ryan Day discusses the win over Wisconsin

Watch everything Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said after the win over Wisconsin on Saturday. #GoBucks

It was a fun night for the Ohio State football team on Saturday. The environment was great with a blackout and all-black uniforms in addition to the buzz surrounding the matchup with Big Ten foe Wisconsin. It was supposed to be a physical, defensive struggle, but the Buckeyes raced to a big early lead and cruised, 52-21.

As he does every week, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day met with the media to discuss what he saw from the Buckeyes and to field questions.

If you didn’t catch all that Day said, we have the entire press conference thanks to our very own Josh Keatley and our Buckeyes Wire YouTube Channel.

Watch below and hear Day discuss the physicality of the team, the play of both running backs, C.J. Stroud’s performance and much, much more.

Ohio State next prepares to face Rutgers, another home game next weekend. The Buckeyes can’t afford to look past an improved Scarlet Knights squad. We’ll have all the coverage you crave leading up to that one next Saturday.

Five things we think we learned from Ohio State football’s victory over Wisconsin

Some main things we took from the Ohio State win over Wisconsin Saturday night. #GoBucks

The Ohio State vs. Wisconsin football game was billed as a physical, big boy, Big Ten affair on Saturday, but it didn’t quite end up that way. The Buckeyes did almost anything and everything they wanted in the first half, raced out to a big lead, and never really looked back in a 52-21 victory.

It was an offensive explosion against a team that was thought to have one of the best defenses in the league, if not the country. At the end of the day though, there were just too many weapons and speed for a team not built to come from behind to keep pace with.

After each game, we like to reflect on some main things we pulled from all the action and are doing the same after this unexpectedly easy cruise to a victory.

Here are five things we think we learned from Ohio State football’s win over Wisconsin Saturday night.

Ohio State vs. Wisconsin: Three and out halftime review

Ohio State vs. Wisconsin three and out halftime review #GoBucks

The Ohio State Buckeyes are currently beating the Wisconsin Badgers like a drum to the tune of 31-7. No one should be surprised that this game is this ugly because Ohio State was favored by more than two touchdowns, but to beat the spread in the first half in the Big Ten conference opener is a little jaw-dropping.

The Buckeyes look like an elite team and their offensive explosion from last week is no fluke despite their star receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, being out with injury. Wisconsin is known for its linebackers, but the Ohio State rushing attack is just absolutely embarrassing the Badgers. Let’s dive into the top three things we noticed going into halftime.

LOOK. Marvin Harrison Jr with an Apple Watch and designer cleats on the field vs. Wisconsin

Not sure I’ve ever seen this on the field of play. #GoBucks

Sometimes you see something and do a double take. That’s what happened during the broadcast of Ohio State vs. Wisconsin on Saturday night. As the cameras flashed to OSU receiver Marvin Harrison Jr who had just come into the game after being a bit banged up.

As the camera zeroed in on Harrison, it became apparent that he was wearing an Apple Watch … on the field. Now, we don’t know what the purpose would be of wearing such expensive tech during a physical football game (this isn’t Arkansas State), but we know there are a lot of things you can measure with the Apple gear.

Who knows, maybe Harrison was a few steps short of his goal for the week and needed to get those in.

That wasn’t all though Harrison was also sporting some pretty sweet designer cleats that I’m not sure we’ve seen before. The cleats clearly had a swoosh on them but also had some Louis Vuitton influence (or so it looked).

I mean, can we get a NIL deal going here? There has to be something Apple can do to jump on this right?

OSU is all set to open up Big Ten play against a very good and perhaps underrated Wisconsin team, and we’ve had plenty to say about many things revolving around this game.

Here are all of our Ohio State vs. Wisconsin preview pieces to get you ready for tonight’s blackout in the ‘Shoe.

Five reasons Wisconsin could give Ohio State problems on Saturday

Five reasons Wisconsin could provide a challenge for Ohio State. #GoBucks

Wisconsin comes to Ohio Stadium to try and ruin the christening of the Big Ten football season for Ohio State on Saturday night. The Badgers are a tough and well-coached team that has been able to give OSU fits in the past, but the Buckeyes have won eight straight in the series, the last loss coming in 2010.

Though most experts and oddsmakers give a significant edge to the Buckeyes, there are reasons to believe that Wisconsin could make the over 100,000 in the ‘Shoe a bit nervous into the fourth quarter.

We love to take the side of Ohio State and give you reasons why each game can have a scarlet and gray hue to it, but there’s also the flip side. Sometimes it’s a stretch to give the opposition credit for an ability to hang with the Buckeyes, but in this case, it’s real.

Here are five reasons why Wisconsin could make things interesting Saturday night.
