Prediction

Lakers 117, Knicks 108

Moneyline (ML)

The Lakers (-910) are monster moneyline favorites in this contest, but there isn’t even close to enough value to bet them for the outright win. The Knicks, on the other hand, are +600 to win this game. While I certainly expect the Lakers to take care of business at home, those odds are intriguing. Still, I’m taking the Lakers who have won five straight games. PASS on this much chalk.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The Lakers (-12.5, -115) open yet another contest as double-digit favorites at home. Despite some monster lines this season, the Lakers have faired well against the spread, covering in more than half of their games. The same can be said for the Knicks, who have a record of 19-17 ATS. While the Lakers should have no problem winning this game, 12.5 points seems like far too many. I like the KNICKS (+12.5, -106) to keep this game close into the fourth quarter.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this matchup is set at 222.5, which seems a tad too much, given how explosive the Lakers offense can be. The Knicks appear to be getting better on offense lately, as they have averaged over 120 points per game in their previous three contests. While I don’t expect them to score that many tonight, New York should eclipse 105 points, helping the OVER 22.5 (-106) hit.
