Top 10 LeBron Wire stories from the year of 2020

A year in our year of covering LeBron James.

2020 was a year in which top-ten lists fail to capture all of the feelings from a difficult year in almost every aspect. For the NBA, it involved a season that started and ended multiple times and for LeBron James, a year unlike any other, somehow ending in a championship. For LeBron Wire, it was a difficult year for us too, starting and stopping a season amidst a pandemic, creating other content when no games were happening, and otherwise trying to keep the lights on. But I’m not going to take any more time describing the past year before showing you the stories that most people clicked on in 2020.

We’ve yet to receive the full schedule from the NBA but we now have confirmation about what the first few days of the season will look like for LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers will receive their NBA championship rings on opening night, Dec. 22, against the Los Angeles Clippers, as the Lakers are appropriately listed as the home team for their first game of the season against the Clippers after having won the championship.

As for the Lakers’ second game of the season, they will of course be featured on Christmas Day but instead of facing the Clippers, fans across the country will be treated to a showdown between LeBron James and Dallas’ superstar Luka Doncic.

Before the Lakers face the Clippers on opening night, Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets will face his former team the Golden State Warriors.
