If you aren’t familiar with the Michigan State Women’s Basketball team yet, you should get familiar. Head coach Suzy Merchant has really built up a great team (with plenty of more top recruits on the way in coming years) in East Lansing, and this year they will be led by junior guard Nia Clouden.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Clouden has been named to the preseason All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Team.
Clouden started every game last year for the Spartans and led the team with 14.5 points per game while also averaging 4 rebounds per game. She also shot 82.3% from the free-throw line and was named second-team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media.
Clouden is only 167 points away from reaching the 1,000 point mark in her three-year career.
