The 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) men’s basketball tournament will take place at Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. from March 13-16.
The MEAC conference features eight men’s college basketball programs. The most notable of those is No. 1-seeded Norfolk State (21-10, 11-3 MEAC), a program that beat the No. 2-seeded Missouri Tigers as a No. 15 seed in 2012.
The conference has been around since 1972 with NC Central and Norfolk State winning five of the last six tournament. NC Central, Howard and SC State were the lone other programs with an above .500 conference record this season. Howard is the reigning champions, defeating Norfolk State 65-64 in the finale last season. Howard went on to lose 96-68 to the Kansas Jayhawks in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

The tournament will commence on March 13 at 6 p.m. ET at Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk.
It is very unlikely that any program in the MEAC will get an at-large bid, meaning all eight are playing to keep their season alive. With Norfolk having a perfect 10-0 home record, it is the strong favorite, but there are contenders that should make for a thrilling few days of basketball. With an automatic bid on the line, this should be hard-fought, must-watch basketball.
At the time of publication, the cheapest available tickets for all sessions of the tournament is $176. If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, the most expensive ticket would only cost you $738.
