Will Zalatoris gets married to Caitlin Sellers, expected to return to action at Tournament of Champions

Will Zalatoris has been nursing a bad back since the FedEx Cup playoffs, but is expected to return soon.

Will Zalatoris has been nursing a bad back since the FedEx Cup playoffs, but he found an important way to fill his schedule between starts — by tying the knot.

The former Wake Forest star and 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur champion announced his engagement to girlfriend Caitlin Sellers, also a Demon Deacon, with a series of pictures on Instagram back in April of 2021. The post included the caption, “Best day of my life. I love you.”

On Tuesday, also via Instagram, Zalatoris posted a photo of the happy couple with the caption, “Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. I love you.”

Zalatoris entered August’s BMW Championship in the advantageous No. 1 spot in the FedEx Cup standings after capturing his first PGA Tour win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis.

But during the third round at Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware, Zalatoris suffered a back injury on the third hole. Zalatoris and his playing partner, Emiliano Grillo, let the group of Sam Burns and Adam Hadwin through as they waited for the PGA Tour physio.

After a short visit and numerous stretches, Zalatoris decided to withdraw from the event.

However, the Sentry Tournament of Champions recently announced that Zalatoris is expected in the field for the event in early January.

Collin Morikawa gets married to girlfriend Katherine Zhu

The message “A day we will remember forever” was posted on Nov. 26, 2022.

A little less than a year after being engaged, Collin Morikawa and Katherine Zhu tied the knot. And their dog Koa got a front-row seat.

Zhu posted a pair of images on her Instagram page, the first showing the happy couple embracing in a kiss with their dog at their feet. A second image is a closer shot of the labradoodle looking up at them.

The message “A day we will remember forever” was posted on Nov. 26, 2022.

Morikawa announced their engagement on Nov. 30, 2021, just days before he jetted off for the Bahamas to play in the Hero World Challenge.

Now, almost a year to the date, Morikawa is again heading to the tropical island for another Hero tournament — but this time as a married man.

The pair are both former college golfers. Morikawa played at Cal while Zhu competed for Pepperdine.

Chiefs WR Cornell Powell got married over the weekend

Congrats to #Chiefs WR Cornell Powell!

Patrick Mahomes wasn’t the only player with happy news to share from the past weekend.

Players often use the time between mandatory minicamp and training camp to take care of important business. That’s exactly what Kansas City Chiefs WR Cornell Powell did over the weekend.

Powell and fiancee Kyndall Ellis were married on Saturday, June 25th in a beautiful ceremony and celebration. Powell proposed back in March of 2021, so this special day had been in the works for the happy couple for a while.

They had an adorable wedding hashtag: #ThePowellCouple

Both Powell and Ellis attended Clemson together. They were joined by several of Powell’s former Clemson teammates including Cardinals LB Isaiah Simmons, Packers WR Amari Rodgers and Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence.

Saints fan gets married at 2022 NFL draft in Las Vegas

How’d you spend our Saturday? Because Saints fan Briana McAllister lived it up getting married at the NFL draft in Las Vegas, via @RossJacksonNOLA:

There are a lot of ways to spend a Saturday at the end of April, but this might take the cake. The wedding cake. Saints fan Briana McAllister and her now husband Toby Koster not only had the chance to attend the 2022 NFL draft, but also get married in the meanwhile! This comes one year after the two were engaged during the 2021 draft in Cleveland.

So from engagement to nuptials, the NFL draft got to hold site for both of these magical moments for McAllister and Koster. While most Saints fans were cheering over the team’s first-round selections of Chris Olave and Trevor Penning, these two celebrated being each others’ first-round selections in style.

Next year, the draft will be in Kansas City, where the two were engaged and near Koster’s hometown. Will be fun to see if they get the opportunity to celebrate their first anniversary together with another draft appearance. Congratulations to the happily married couple.
