Report card: Bye week grades for the Bills

Report card: Bye week grades for the #Bills:

The Buffalo Bills took their week off while sitting at a 6-6 record. The team has had plenty of ups and downs on the way there.

Some positions on the roster had a bigger impact than others. How does each hold up?

Here is Bills Wire’s positional report card for the team at the bye:

Report card: Bills fall 37-34 in overtime at Eagles

Report card: #Bills fall 37-34 in overtime at #EaglesL

The Buffalo Bills took an opportunity to build on their push toward the playoffs in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles and squandered it.

Buffalo (6-6) lost 37-34 in overtime against Philadelphia (10-1). Now the Bills have to take the defeat and push it far, far away. From here, the Bills will hope their march toward the postseason does not fall short for the first time since 2018.

Buffalo’s game plans fell short, and in the end, that was reflected by the final score.

The same can be said for the grades the team received following the contest, too.

One more time: Bills’ Khalil Shakir records NFL’s longest touchdown in 2023

Huge play:

The Buffalo Bills are preparing to turn the page to their upcoming Week 12 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It will be a tough matchup and the Bills (6-5) still sorely need to keep winning to keep their postseason chances alive.

But before fully looking toward the Eagles (9-1), let’s take one more look back at a huge play against the New York Jets from last weekend.

The Bills topped the Jets (4-6) by a 32-6 final. Of all those points, the most New York has allowed since 2021, the biggest play was easiest to spot: Khalil Shakir’s touchdown.

The Bills receiver took one to the house, all the way from 81 yards out, which currently stands as the longest touchdown in the NFL so far this season.

The Buffalo Bills defeated the New York Jets, 32-6, in their Week 11 matchup on Sunday afternoon.

What we learned from the Bills’ win over the Jets

What we learned from the #Bills’ win over the #Jets:

The Buffalo Bills taught us some things in their latest outing in Week 11.

The Bills (6-5) beat the New York Jets (4-6) on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 32-6. Buffalo’s offense had an improved outing and the defense continued to produce against an opponent despite a series of injuries building up.

And just in time for the playoff push.

After letting the result sink in, let’s take some time to look back and reflect. What exactly did Buffalo’s football team teach us this week?

Here are five things we learned from the Bills’ win over the Jets in Week 11 at Highmark Stadium:

Ed Oliver hilariously celebrating Khalil Shakir touchdown is a must see (video)

Ed is one of a kind:

Ed Oliver remains a one-of-a-kind guy that just so happens to be on the Buffalo Bills defense.

During the Bills’ 32-6 win over New York Jets, Oliver was having a good ol’ time. Buffalo’s defense gave Oliver good reason to celebrate. He was part of a defensive front that really got after it, eventually sending Jets quarterback Zach Wilson to the bench.

Oliver, Leonard Floyd and AJ Epenesa joined together for one celebration… but another where the Bills offense gave Oliver reason to celebrate was by far the best.

When Buffalo scored on an 81-yard touchdown catch from wideout Khalil Shakir, Oliver was celebrating by running down the sideline with Shakir…. except, Oliver was running in place.

Take a look for Oliver in the sky cam footage of Shakir’s touchdown in the clip below:

Bills’ Josh Allen mic’d up vs. Jets: ‘I feel like I’m [expletive] back’

Bad news for the rest of the NFL:

Josh Allen was really feeling good against the Jets. The cameras caught a candid moment from the Bills quarterback proving so.

NFL Films cameras had Allen mic’d up during the 32-6 win. The best highlight of the game was Allen’s 81-yard touchdown pass to Khalil Shakir.

After it, the QB was pumped up on the sideline.

“I feel like I’m [expletive] back,” Allen yelled.

Report card: Buffalo Bills top New York Jets, 32-6

#Bills report card after a huge game vs. the #Jets:

The Buffalo Bills took an opportunity to build on their push toward the playoffs in Week 11 against the New York Jets.

Buffalo (6-5) won 32-6 against New York (4-6). Now the Bills have the take this momentum, build on it, and hope their march toward the postseason does not fall short for the first time since 2018.

Buffalo’s game plans went well, and in the end, that was reflected by the final score.

The same can be said for the grades the team received following the contest, too.
