[autotag]Junior Dos Santo[/autotag]s was placed into new territory of his career on Saturday with a loss to Curtis Blaydes in the UFC on ESPN+ 24 headliner.
For the first time, the former UFC heavyweight champ Dos Santos (21-7 MMA, 15-6 UFC) is on a losing skid after suffering a second-round TKO loss to Blaydes (13-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) in the main event, which took place at PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C., and streamed on ESPN+.
Coming into the fight, “Cigano” was confident he could make a run and reclaim his former title glory. At 35 and coming off a pair of rough stoppages, though, his plans could be significantly altered going forward.
