Vikings vs. Bills: Final injury report analysis, Josh Allen officially questionable

The final injury report clears some things up while others still remain

The final injury reports are in for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills and we have gotten some clarity on both sides.

The Vikings saw their injury report cut in half while the Bills cleared up by quite a bit more.

The biggest question mark in Josh Allen still remains going into the weekend.

We analyzed both finalized injury reports heading into Sunday afternoon.

Vikings vs. Bills spread drops to 3.5 points

The betting odds have seen a significant shift

The Minnesota Vikings saw the line open up as high as 9.5 and Tipico Sportsbook had the line at 7.5 as of Sunday night.

As of Wednesday morning, the line had dropped all the way down to 3.5 points with the Bills still as the favorite.

The line movement is almost certainly tied to Josh Allen’s injury status. The only time the line moves that drastically is if there is an injury and almost every time it involves the quarterback position.

The status of Allen is still up in the air but the sharps don’t believe he will play. The first sign of a star player being out is usually reflected in the betting lines.

This will be something to continue to monitor as, without Allen, the sportsbooks have this close to a toss-up on a neutral field.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) will miss practice, considered day-to-day

The Vikings will be monitoring his status all week

The Minnesota Vikings are almost completely healthy on the offensive side of the football heading into week 10 and that is not the same for their opponent the Buffalo Bills.

Per ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg, Bills quarterback Josh Allen will miss practice on Wednesday as they monitor the injury to the UCL in his right elbow.

This bodes really well for the Vikings as Allen is arguably the best quarterback in the league. If he were to be unable to play on Sunday, the Vikings would be facing the orchestrator of the Minneapolis Miracle in Case Keenum

This is worth monitoring as it’s a revenge game for both Keenum and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Head coach Sean McDermott said during his media availability on Wednesday that Allen is considered day to day.

If the Vikings were to face Case Keenum on Sunday, it would be the fourth backup quarterback that had started a game against the Vikings this season.
