Get ’em while they’re young! #GoBlue
If you want to run the football, come to Ann Arbor.
That’s the message that the Michigan football program has sent to running backs across the country in recent years, with the success of Hassan Haskins, Blake Corum, and Donovan Edwards.
Now the Wolverines have four-star Jordan Marshall in the fold for 2024, having wrested him away from Ohio State despite him being an Ohio-native coveted by the Buckeyes. They’re in good shape for Taylor Tatum out of Texas, as well, who is one of the top tailbacks in the country.
As the maize and blue continue to work on 2024 and even 2025, they’re also looking ahead to the next generation of running backs. Earlier this week, Michigan extended an offer to McEachern (Ga.) Powder Springs running back Jayreon Campbell, who has offers from Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Austin Peay.
On his Twitter profile, Campbell notes that he has a 3.8 grade point average, indicating that he takes the school aspect seriously. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds — impressive given that he’s coming off of his freshman year of high school.
