The Minnesota Vikings are on the path to finalizing their 53-man roster.

By 3 pm central time on Tuesday, August 29th, every team in the National Football League will need to be down 53 players on the roster. Once that happens, anyone with less than four years of National Football League experience will be placed on waivers until 12 pm central time on Wednesday, August 30th. Those players who have 4+ years of vested experience are released and can sign with a team immediately

There were a lot of players for the Vikings that were firmly on the bubble and they had a chance to shine on Saturday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals. Last season, the Vikings didn’t just do their roster cuts and form their practice squad, they also traded for Jalen Reagor and Ross Blacklock.

Vikings cut offensive tackle, linebacker

The Vikings continued their roster cuts on Sunday night

The Minnesota Vikings have continued their cuts on Sunday evening. After releasing linebacker Tanner Vallejo, the Vikings cut offensive tackle Jarrid Williams and inside linebacker Wilson Huber. NFL Network’s Tom Pellisero reported the moves.

The Vikings brought in Williams on August 3rd when they moved on from offensive lineman Bobby Evans, who spent two different stints with the Vikings over the last nine months.

Williams played in 51 offensive snaps and 11 on special teams during the preseason.

Huber was brought in as an undrafted free agent immediately after the 2023 NFL draft. College teammates with fellow inside linebacker Ivan Pace Jr., Huber didn’t shine nearly as bright. He played 89 snaps on defense along with 50 on special teams.

The inside linebacker spot was one that had positions up for grabs and Pace found a way to grab one of those spots. Huber now hopes for a spot on the practice squad.

The Vikings are now down to 87 players on the roster.

Vikings sign OT Jarrid Williams, terminate contract of OT Bobby Evans

The Minnesota Vikings are bringing in OT Jarrid Williams and terminating the contract of OT Bobby Evans.

The Minnesota Vikings have been working on fortifying the offensive line this week. After Aaron Wilson reported the signing of OT Christian DiLauro on Wednesday night, the Vikings officially announced his signing along with OT Jarrid Williams while terminating the contract of OT Bobby Evans.

Williams was an undrafted free agent out of Miami FL in the 2022 NFL draft and was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent time on both the Eagles and Detroit Lions’ practice squads.

Williams started his college career at Houston and followed quarterback D’Eriq King to the sunshine state. He played in 50 games during his college career with 39 total starts.

Evans ended his second tenure with the Vikings after just 10 days. he spent time on the Vikings practice squad at the end of 2022 as well.

The Vikings now have a full 90-man roster.

According to his agent, the Steelers have added another former Eagle to their offensive line group, signing Jarrid Williams to a one-year deal.

Philadelphia released Williams after the team signed Charleston Rambo following the rookie minicamp in May.

Signed as an undrafted free agent, Philadelphia Originally released Williams ahead of Training Camp on July 27th.

The 25-year-old, who spent time at the University of Houston and Miami, graded out as the fourth-best tackle in the ACC in 2021, per Pro Football Focus.

Willians also spent time on the Lions’ practice squad last season.
