Three-star cornerback Jackson Mathews announced his commitment to Tennessee on Sunday.
The 2024 prospect held offers from Ball State and Arkansas State.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback is from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mathews is the No. 217 cornerback and No. 82 player in Tennessee, according to 247Sports.
Mathews recorded 66 tackles and four interceptions as a junior last season. As a sophomore, he totaled 21 tackles and one forced fumble.
His grandfather, Doug Mathews, was an assistant coach under former Tennessee head coach Johnny Majors.
Following Mathews’ commitment, Tennessee’s 2024 class ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 5 in the Southeastern Conference. The Vols have 21 commitments in the class of 2024.
