Eagles reload in the trenches in Mel Kiper’s post free agency mock draft

The Philadelphia Eagles land the best offensive tackle and an elite defensive tackle in Mel Kiper’s latest post-free-agency NFL mock draft

The 2023 NFL draft is fast approaching, and with the Top 30 visits underway, all 32 teams are doing their due diligence on potential prospects.

Thanks to some draft night wizardry from Howie Roseman, the Eagles traded the No. 16 overall pick, No. 19 overall pick, and a 2022 sixth-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for the No. 18 overall pick, a 2022 third-round pick, a 2022 seventh-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick, and a 2024 second-round pick.

We tracked Philadelphai’s picks via Tankathon, and after New Orleans went 7-10, Philadelphia locked down a top-ten selection.

ESPN’s legendary draft guru, Mel Kiper, Just released his third mock draft of 2023, and he has the Eagles reloading in the trenches with their two first-round picks.

Isaac Seumalo’s contract with Steelers is a 3-year, $24 million deal

The numbers are in, and former Eagles right guard Isaac Seumalo signed a 3-year, $24 million deal with the Steelers

Isaac Seumalo will exit Philadelphia, but he’ll stay in the state of Pennsylvania after agreeing to a three-year, $24 million deal with the Steelers.

Seumalo’s $8 million per season puts him in the top 10 for highest-paid right or left guards and gives Pittsburgh a versatile player capable of playing all five positions.

Seumalo is the second former Eagle signing with the Steelers in free agency, joining Nate Herbig, who spent three years with the Eagles before a one-year stint with the New York Jets.

Seumalo missed significant time with injuries during the 2020 and 2021 seasons but returned to play all 17 regular-season games for the Eagles in 2022.

Report: Steelers agree to 3-year deal with Eagles right guard Isaac Seumalo

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing Philadelphia Eagles right guard Isaac Seumalo to a three-year contract

The Steelers are looking to bolster their offensive line, and Isaac Seumalo won’t have to leave the state of Pennsylvania after agreeing to a three-year deal.

Philadelphia’s versatile right guard can play all five positions and will now head to the AFC, where he’ll open holes for Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris.

The 2016 third-round pick out of Oregon State improved each season and started all 17 games for the Eagles as they went 14-3 during the 2022 regular season en route to a Super Bowl appearance.

With Seumalo departing and Jason Kelce announcing that he will return in 2023, look for 2022 second-round pick Cam Jurgens as the new starter at right guard.

The 20 best remaining players after Day 2 of NFL free agency

It’s Day 3 of free agency. A franchise LT and safety are somehow STILL available.

Fun fact: The NFL’s negotiation window might begin on Monday, with most free-agent players locked in immediately. But the new league year doesn’t actually start until today!

It’s wild to think about after seeing all these underrated trades and handsome contracts fly around, right? (Also, it’s funny knowing most of these moves aren’t 100 percent official and can technically fall through at any time.)

However, despite most of the free agent field being combed through this year, many franchise players and stars remain available. To be quite honest with you: I don’t know why. But I’ve never professed to know precisely how an NFL GM thinks.

As Day 3 of free agency rolls on, here’s an overview of the 20 top unsigned players left. (Note: I’ve said before they’ll likely not last much longer on the open market. But nothing seems assured anymore.)

The 20 best remaining players after Day 1 of NFL free agency

Most of the big fish are gone, but a lot of stars and quality starters are just waiting to be snatched up.

I know it’s tough to process while in the moment, with new agreements seemingly flying around every other minute, but not every player is signed on the first day of NFL free agency.

In fact, if we took an honest look at the proceedings, many worthwhile stars, solid contributors, and depth guys are still sitting on the board after a whirlwind first day. Even if teams like the Chicago Bears were among the bigger initial winners, and even if squads like the San Francisco 49ers continue to get richer defensively, there’s still a lot of time left before the free-agent dust settles.

Let’s take a quick look at the 20 best players remaining in 2023 NFL free agency (by my estimation) as we head into Day 2. Remember: most of these guys aren’t likened to last much longer on the open market.

Eagles free agency tracker: Rumors, signings, releases

Tracking all of the 2023 free agency news surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles’ 2023 NFL offseason is underway, and although the deal won’t be official until Wednesday, the roster is already looking drastically different.

Philadelphia suffered two early free-agent losses on Monday, with Javon Hargrave (49ers) and T.J. Edwards (Bears) agreeing to deals.

All was not lost, as All-Pro center Jason Kelce announced that he was returning.

We’re tracking the latest free-agent rumors involving Philadelphia.

How Falcons 5-year, $105M extension with Chris Lindstrom impacts Eagles’ Isaac Seumalo

The Atlanta Falcons have reached an agreement today on a five-year, $105 million deal with Chris Lindstrom and we’re looking at how that impacts Isaac Seumalo

The Atlanta Falcons just reset the mark at the offensive guard position, agreeing to terms on a five-year, $105 million extension with guard Chris Lindstrom, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported on Monday.

Lindstrom, who was drafted by Atlanta in 2019 and became a starter in 2020, will now earn $63 million guaranteed and will have an average annual salary of $21 million.

The $21 million average puts Lindstrom ahead of the Colts’ Quenton Nelson ($20 million), while the $105 million total puts him ahead of Nelson as well.

With the legal tampering period now underway and the new league year set for Wednesday afternoon, we’re looking at how Lindstrom’s new deal impacts Isaac Seumalo.

Top 5 free agents who Cowboys probably won’t sign, but should

A look at which players in Touchdown Wire’s Top 30 free agents would make sense for Dallas if they operated a bit differently during the initial wave of things. | From @KDDrummondNFL

“We like our guys.”

OK, we get it, Dallas Cowboys front office. Despite already carving out some cap space and having the mechanisms to create a whole lot more, very few who cover the organization expect Dallas to do anything seismic over the next week or so. Free agency unofficially begins today at 11 a.m. Central time, but officially on Wednesday. Until then, deals can be agreed to; and the speedy nature by which they will start to roll in Monday is just more evidence of the tampering that’s been happening for weeks.

Dallas likely won’t sign any big names, because that’s just not what they do. Still, it’s nice to dream. Here’s a selection of key players who would look darn good in the blue and silver, and at positions where Dallas could certainly use a shot in the arm.

We’re using Touchdown Wire’s free-agent rankings here. We’re also not going to do things that don’t make sense for Dallas just because the player is top rated. Corners who primarily play on the right side, high-priced linebackers… those guys will be skipped over.

Looking at the projected market value for Jalen Hurts, Darius Slay, and Eagles’ top free agents

With the legal tampering period just hours away, we’re looking at the projected market value for the Philadelphia Eagles’ top free agents

The NFL’s new league is less than four days away, and with the legal tampering period scheduled to start on Monday, Philadelphia will look to retool on defense, while making cost-effective decisions.

All-Pro quarterback Jalen Hurts and his contract is the biggest concern this offseason, but the Eagles will also need to navigate 19 looming free agents and the likelihood that they’ll lose C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Javon Hargrave and James Bradberry.

GM Howie Roseman has made it clear that he’s prepared to lose several key starters and he’ll retool via the draft with a handful of 2024 compensatory picks.

With the new league year just days away, Spotrac projected the market values for the top free agents, players in line for a new deal, or guys looking for a potential trade.

Below is the predicted market value for the Eagles’ top free agents, along with Jalen Hurts and Darius Slay.

12 free-agent OL the Colts could consider in 2023

Taking a look at 12 free-agent offensive line options for the Colts in 2023.

After a tumultuous campaign, the Indianapolis Colts will have their eyes on adding some depth and talent to the offensive line through the free-agent market during the 2023 offseason.

While Bernhard Raimann and Braden Smith are expected to be the starting tackles, adding depth behind them is crucial. The Colts also will be in the market to add a starting-caliber right guard and depth at the interior spots.

We took a look at the following positions for the Colts to consider adding to in free agency:

We shouldn’t expect the Colts to go on a wild spending spree in free agency. It’s not their M.O., and Chris Ballard isn’t working with the same amount of salary-cap space as he’s used to.

Now, it’s time to take a look at the free-agent options along the offensive line for the Colts to consider:
