No. 2 Georgia (6-0) dominated SEC foe Auburn (3-3) in a 45-10 win in Athens on Saturday.

The Bulldogs held a 14-0 lead at halftime over the Tigers before taking over for a 31 point second half to close the game.

It wasn’t exactly a perfect start for the Dawgs offense.

Georgia didn’t score in the first quarter and entered halftime with 143 total yards, but rebounded with 357 total yards in the second half.

Defensively, the Bulldogs suffocated the Tigers, allowing only 258 total yards in the game.

Junior running back Daijun Edwards had a career game in the Georgia backfield, racking up 83 yards on 12 carries with three touchdowns.

True freshman running back Branson Robinson led the team with 98 yards on 12 carries.

The Bulldogs ran for a season high 292 yards.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett completed 22 of 32 passes for 208 yards and added 64 yards on three carries and a touchdown on the ground.

Sophomore receiver Ladd McConkey led the Dawgs with five catches for 47 yards,

The Georgia defense held Auburn to only 10 first downs, 5 of 17 on third down, and forced a turnover in the win.

No. 2 Georgia is starting to pull away from Auburn in ‘The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.’

The Bulldogs were up 21-3 early in the fourth quarter before quarterback Stetson Bennett took off for a huge 64-yard rushing touchdown, the longest of his career.

Georgia has 209 yards rushing on the day.

Georgia extends lead with another Daijun Edwards TD

Daijun Edwards AGAIN!

No. 2 Georgia is battling Auburn in Sanford Stadium.

The Bulldogs held a 14-0 lead at the half before Auburn took advantage of a Georgia fumble in the opening drive of the second half to make it 14-3.

UGA answered with this Daijun Edwards rushing touchdown, his second of the day, to cap an 11-play, 81-yard drive.

The junior running back has totaled 60 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns thus far.
