The Georgia Bulldogs are a No. 3 seed in the 2021 NCAA women’s tournament.

The Georgia Bulldogs are a No. 3 seed in the 2021 NCAA women’s tournament. Georgia is coming off a solid run in the SEC tournament, where the Lady Dawgs fell to South Carolina in the championship game.

Georgia will open their NCAA tournament against the Drexel Dragons, who are a 14-seed. Drexel has a solid defense that’s ranked No. 33 in the country, but it would be very surprising if Drexel can pull off the upset.

Georgia’s game against Drexel will be televised on ESPN2. The game is schedule for March 21 at noon.

If Georgia can prevail against Drexel, then Georgia would face the winner of Oregon versus South Dakota. Oregon is a six-seed, who finished the season 13-8. The Ducks have a solid offense that scores 73.1 points per game. Oregon would certainly present a significant challenge for the Bulldogs.

Next, Georgia would likely face the Louisville Cardinals, who are a two-seed. Louisville finished the season 23-3 overall and would likely be favored against Georgia. The Lady Dawgs are more than capable of defeating Louisville or any other quality competition.

Georgia finished the season 20-6. The Bulldogs beat Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky in SEC games. Georgia finished the season ranked as the No. 10 team in the country. Jenna Staiti, Que Morrison, and Gabby Connally are Georgia’s top scorers for the season and are players to watch as Georgia tries to make a Final Four run.
