Highlights from Duke commit Sean Stewart’s McDonald’s slam dunk contest victory

The dunk contest at the Powerade Jam Fest on the first night of the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game week helped the all-star tournament start with a bang as Duke commit Sean Stewart took down the competition.

With Stewart’s dunk contest win and fellow Duke commit Jared McCain winning the 3-point contest, the Blue Devils swept the Jam Fest. Those weren’t the only two involved in the evening — Stewart got help from soon-to-be teammate Mackenzie Mgbako as well in one dunk.

See highlights below from Stewart’s win over opponents including Bronny James, Elmarko Jackson and Matas Buzelis. The McDonald’s All-American girls game will take place Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with the boys game scheduled to begin after it ends, around 9 p.m.

Rutgers basketball recruiting: Elmarko Jackson pulls in offers from Michigan, Texas and Indiana on Friday

Four-star guard Elmarko Jackson picks up three big offers on Friday

Following an offer from Rutgers basketball last week, four-star guard Elmarko Jackson has pulled in several other bigtime offers over the past few days.

On Friday, Jackson was offered by Michigan, Texas and Indiana. Earlier in the week, he was offered by Kansas and LSU. Jackson is rated a four-star and is the No. 72 player in the nation according to 247Sports. He will play for South Kent School (South Kent, CT) this year.

As of mid-June, the class of 2023 guard has been offered by Oklahoma, Tennessee,  DePaul, Pittsburgh and Nebraska as well as an offer from Rutgers on June 22 and Virginia the next day.

Jackson announced the trio of offers on Friday via his social media.

Rutgers basketball does not yet have any commitments for the class of 2023.

But in early June, the Scarlet Knights landed a big commitment from Gavin Griffiths. A four-star power forward from Connecticut with a number of high-profile offers, Griffiths is a consensus top 50 player in the nation.

Elmarko Jackson is the latest Rutgers basketball offer

Rutgers basketball just offered a four-star guard, Elmarko Jackson.

Rutgers basketball is the latest to offer Elmarko Jackson, the Big Ten program another prominent offer for a list that has grown considerably this month.

Jackson is rated a four-star and is the No. 72 player in the nation according to 247Sports. He will play for South Kent School (South Kent, CT) this year.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, a class of 2023 prospect, is one of the most sought-after players in the nation. He is a four-star guard according to 247Sports.

Since June 15, Jackson has offers from Oklahoma, Tennessee,  DePaul, Pittsburgh and Nebraska. Now he adds Rutgers to the group with an offer that came in on Wednesday. Prior to the flurry of offers in June, Jackson held some other significant offers such as Kansas State, Maryland, Notre Dame and Syracuse.
