Curtis Bolton works out for the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are always looking to add talented to an injury-plagued roster and on Thursday the Birds had free-agent linebacker, Curtis Bolton, in for a tryout per Aaron Wilson via the NFL’s Transaction Wire.

An undrafted linebacker out of Oklahoma in 2019, Bolton spent time with the Green Bay Packers before being waived two weeks ago.

Reggie Begelton’s stay on the Green Bay Packers’ active roster lasted all of one day.

The Packers released Begelton, who was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster before Monday night’s win over the Atlanta Falcons, on Tuesday afternoon.

Begelton played two snaps on offense and two snaps on special teams against the Falcons. He wasn’t targeted.

A former CFL star, Begelton began the season on the Packers’ practice squad and could sign back in Green Bay if clears waivers.

The Packers also released linebacker Curtis Bolton from the physically unable to perform list and released receiver Caleb Scott from the practice squad.

The Packers have two open roster spots and could have a third if tight end Josiah Deguara (knee) lands on injured reserve. The Packers also have two open practice squad spots.

Packers place 2 on PUP list, 2 others on non-football injury list

Curtis Bolton and Yosh Nijman both landed on the PUP list to start Packers training camp.

The Green Bay Packers provided injury designations for four different players on Friday.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers placed linebacker Curtis Bolton and offensive tackle Yosh Nijman on the physically unable to perform list and added guard Simon Stepaniak and running back Patrick Taylor on the non-football injury list.

Bolton tore his ACL during the preseason last August. Nijman injured his elbow and was placed on season-ending injured reserve last December. Both will begin training camp on the PUP list but can come off and participate at any time. They will each have a chance to make the roster, with Bolton competing for starting snaps at linebacker and Nijman battling for a spot as the swing tackle.

The non-football injury list is for designating players hurt during the college season or offseason. Stepaniak, a sixth-round pick, and Taylor, an undrafted free agent, both landed in this category.

The Packers also released Cole Madison and Jordan Jones on Friday.
