What a perfect Senior Day.
No. 16 Michigan State won a share of its third consecutive Big Ten title with a nice 80-69 win over No. 19 Ohio State on Sunday. It was a day of celebration punctuated by a Cassius Winston step-back three to send the Breslin Center crowd into a frenzy and gave MSU an 80-60 lead with 2:35 left in the game.
That shot was quickly followed by the Senior Day tradition at Michigan State; the individual seniors checking out of the game one by one, taking in one last Breslin Center standing ovation before getting into push-up position to deliver a parting kiss to the Spartan logo at mid-court.
It is routinely one of the best moments of the season each year and is worth re-watching time and time again.
Here’s Kyle Ahrens’ moment.
