The Colorado Rockies (29-40) wrap up their season series with the Boston Red Sox (33-35) with the finale of a 3-game set Wednesday. First pitch from Fenway Park is at 7:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Rockies vs. Red Sox odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Rockies lead 2-0
The Rockies picked up a 3rd straight win with a 7-6 10-inning victory Tuesday, a nice bounce-back after dropping 6 in a row from June 4-10. Colorado is still just 4-6 in its last 10 games and owns one of the worst records in the league, with this being just its 2nd win streak of at least 3 games all year. The Rockies rank 14th in runs scored (309) this season but their pitching staff has fallen short of expectations, ranking 28th with a 5.12 ERA.
The Red Sox are in a rut right now, winning just 9 of their last 24 games. Similarly to Colorado, Boston is scoring enough runs to win games (4.88 runs per game, 8th), but it’s giving up far too many runs with a 4.59 ERA that ranks 23rd in the league. 3B Rafael Devers leads the team in home runs (17) and RBIs (56) this season.

Rockies at Red Sox picks and predictions
Prediction
Red Sox 6, Rockies 3
Moneyline
It’s hard to imagine the Red Sox dropping 3 games in a row to the Rockies, especially with Gomber on the mound for Colorado. Boston is desperate for a win at home against a bad Rockies team and I think the Red Sox will get it done.
However, they’re not worth the risk on the moneyline at -250. PASS.
Run line/Against the spread
Even though each of the Red Sox’s last 3 wins have all been by just 1 run, this is a game they should cover the run line in. Gomber has struggled painfully all season with his 7.57 ERA and his lack of control should help get the Red Sox back on track.
BET RED SOX -1.5 (-130).

Over/Under
The Over is 1-1 in the first 2 games of the series which have both required an extra inning. The Over is 29-39-1 in Rockies games and 38-29-1 in Red Sox contests this season, according to Covers.
Whitlock should have some success against the Rockies after pitching well in his last start against New York. BET UNDER 10 (-115).
