The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived tight end Codey McElroy with an injury settlement.
The team made the announcement Tuesday afternoon, just as players are reporting for this year’s training camp.
A regular on Tampa Bay’s practice squad over the past few years, McElroy will be having surgery on his foot this week, per ESPN’s Jenna Laine.
