Cereals, ranked.

Our extremely unscientific ranking of these 20 random cereals.

Nothing hits the spot like a really good bowl of cereal. Sometimes, it’s all you actually want, whether it’s as a quick snack, in lieu of cooking dinner or, you know, for breakfast.

And let’s get one thing out of the way: The best (and only correct) method for the perfect bowl of cereal is to pour the milk first, then the contents of the box. If you don’t already subscribe to this method, try it and watch your cereal-consuming life change.

But regardless of how you handle your milk, not all cereals are created equal — though many of them include a mountain of sugar and are probably not actually recommended as part of a healthy diet. No matter because great cereals are unbeatable.

So here’s our extremely unscientific ranking of these 20 random big brand-name cereals.

Nick Chubb’s cereal sets sales record

Browns fans put Peyton Hillis on the cover of Madden and now, for a great cause, have set a cereal sales record.

The Cleveland Browns hope RB Nick Chubb can set records on the field but he set one off the field recently.

Chubb almost won the rushing title two seasons ago and has had a great yards per carry average for his career. The former Georgia Bulldog is unlikely to pass Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record, despite an added 17th game this year, as he shares carries with Kareem Hunt.

Off the field, Chubb is partnering with ‘First Candle’ to try to eliminate sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) through the release of his cereal ‘Chubb Crunch.’ A portion of the proceeds from the sales will go to the organization.

Very quickly, ‘Chubb Crunch’ set a new sales record for PLB Sports which makes sports-related food items:

With proceeds going to such a great cause and Chubb signing an extension to stay in Cleveland for another three years, it is likely his cereal will be a big seller.

Alvin Kamara is the NFL’s renaissance man. When he’s not celebrating tying the all-time record for touchdown runs in a single game, he’s having the time of his life at a high-speed NASCAR race or serenading audiences at annual sports awards shows. And now that the New Orleans Saints’ best player has conquered the candy game with his favorite Airheads, he’s turning his attention to the breakfast aisle.

Kamara shared a first look at his new “Kamara’s King Crunch” cereal on Thursday, which is available for order online, at participating Rouse’s Market locations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and at his alma mater at the University of Tennessee (in Alumni Hall and the VolShop, for any interested buyers in Knoxville). A portion of sales will be donated to the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans, which offers mental health services to underserved children around the city.

He’s the latest NFL star to roll out his own custom breakfast cereal, along with Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. It’s a really opportunity for Kamara, so it’s great to see him embracing it for a good cause.

The Ultimate Breakfast Cereal bracket: And the winner is …

WE HAVE A WINNER!

The early rounds of our epic breakfast cereal bracket this week featured some big upsets with Honey Bunches of Oats, Frosted Mini-Wheats and Cap’n Crunch making runs.

But when it came to the final matchup, your votes sent two top seeds to the championship game: No. 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch vs. No. 1 Froot Loops, an all-time, Hall-of-Fame battle of breakfast classics.

I thought it would be much closer, but nope: with over 64 percent of the votes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch took home the title of GOAT cereal. Congratulations! Thanks to everyone for all your votes. Here’s a look at the final bracket:

The Ultimate Breakfast Cereal bracket: Vote for your favorite in the Final Four

Just four cereals left!

We are down to just four cereals in what has become an amazing breakfast bracket.

After so many votes in the Elite Eight, we’re down to the Final Four. No. 1 seed Froot Loops finally put a stop to the No. 7 seed Cinderella Honey Bunches of Oats. No. 5 seed Frosted Mini-Wheats shocked everyone by defeating Fruity Pebbles. And while favorite Cinnamon Toast Crunch won, Lucky Charms got taken down by Cap’n Crunch!

You know the drill: vote on the two matchups below the photo of our updated bracket before 10 a.m. ET on Friday. Then we’ll have a championship game to decide the GOAT cereal.

The Ultimate Breakfast Cereal bracket: Vote for your favorite in the Elite Eight

Two No. 1 seeds are out!

We’re two rounds into our epic breakfast cereal bracket, and we have ourselves a Cinderella story in the Elite Eight, along with THREE No. 1 seeds getting ousted.

No. 7 seed Honey Bunches of Oats took down Rice Krispies (a 3-seed) in the second round, although they face a tough matchup in No. 1 seed Froot Loops. We also saw another top seed — Cheerios — get taken down by Frosted Mini-Wheats. It was also a rough day for another Cheerios (the Honey Nut variety) as Frosted Flakes had a GRRRRREAT run to move on. And in a No. 5 vs. No. 1 matchup, Cap’n Crunch succeeded against Cocoa Puffs.

Please vote below the image on the next round by 10 a.m. Eastern on and we’ll get to the Final Four on Thursday.
