Catch This Fade S5E40: Bryan Broaddus joins to talk Cowboys Draft board building, preferences, needs

Would they dare pass on Kyle Pitts? Should they trade up? What would they do if their favorites are wiped out at No. 10? Who are some names the club may like on Day 2?

With the draft now just two weeks away, it’s time to get deep on what the Cowboys want to do and how they function. K.D. Drummond and Patrick Walker are joined by the former Cowboys and NFL scout and current 105.3 The Fan analyst Bryan Broaddus to share insight into the team’s preparation, philosophy and preferences when it comes to April’s haul.

Would they dare pass on Kyle Pitts? Should they trade up? What would they do if their favorites are wiped out at No. 10? Who are some names the club may like on Day 2? Later, K.D. and Pat Play the Percentages to try and figure out which needs outrank each other.

CTFS5E21: Defending idea Cowboys should trade Cooper, Defcon Ratings

Catch This Fade! Podcast S5E21 Video: Defending idea Cowboys should trade Amari Cooper (if it comes to that financially), K.D. Drummond and Patrik Walker assign Defcon Ratings to each position on the club.

Earlier in the week, Cowboys Wire laid out the position that the Dallas Cowboys, if financial situations dictate a purging of parts of their roster, then they should look closely at the possibility of trading WR Amari Cooper. It’s brash and bold on the surface, but the logic is there if one is open-minded about the reality of the picture and what life post-Amari would look like.

To better  drive the points home, I went beyond just the article and gave it a full talking through in the latest episode of the Catch This Fade! Podcast, available through subscription at Patreon.com/CatchThisFade. We’re making the first half of the episode available for all, on Youtube and on the various podcatchers.

K.D. Drummond and CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker tag team the leaks, look ahead to the most dangerous player on Washington’s roster and play the percentages of the most disappointing members of the team at this point in the season.

The Dallas Cowboys continue to battle injury issues and the prevailing themes of the first six weeks are coming to a head. It’s one thing for the media and fans to speak on the issues the coaching staff is having, but when the players do so, anonymously? Nah. Tank?! Ummm, wut? Nah. Trade? Now we have something to talk about.

Catch This Fade (Premium) S5E14: Elliott struggling, NFL screws the Cowboys again and again

Fades for the star running back? CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker eviscerating Dalton’s excuses? KD Drummond with nice things to say about Chido? The league stealing players and opportunities again? Statsicities, sleeves & pet peeves, the latest #CatchThisFade is here.

John Fassel. Jim Fassel. Fossil watches or fossil fuels. Ezekiel Elliott’s sleeves vs Skip Peete. The NFL’s ridiculousness on full display on the field and in the decision room. Amoeba fans.

The star running back is in his head, Andy Dalton’s struggles on Monday night were in part because of the blocking, but he bears a lot of responsibility. The coaching staff once again can’t get it together. The league screws the Cowboys out of plays and players yet again. It’s safe to say that after another embarrassment, the Dallas Cowboys were primed and ready for scorched earth at the hands of K.D. and Patrik. Fades, statsicity and a new venture, “Play the Percentages”.

Catch This Fade (Premium) S5E12: Dak devastation, Dalton debut, double-digit deficit dashed

K.D. and Patrik go through the impact of Prescott’s injury, what it means for the player and the team, and also talk about climbing out of another double-digit hole to take down the rival New York Giants.

Following the loss of QB Dak Prescott, where do the Dallas Cowboys go? The quick answer is Andy Dalton, and now (post recording/filming) we know they’ve added Garrett Gilbert to the mix along with Ben DiNucci. The best QB for the job of backing up Dalton is still on the street, though.

Meanwhile, the rest of the offensive skill positions is humming along. Will it continue with the change under center? K.D. and Patrik go through the impact of Prescott’s injury, what it means for the player and the team, and also talk about climbing out of another double-digit hole to take down the rival New York Giants. There was A LOT to cover.

Catch This Fade! (Premium) S5E10: Pollard is a problem for the Cowboys

Catch This Fade! podcast set its sights on several members of the coaching staff and the roster, and offers advice how to fix one failing.

The Dallas Cowboys have a myriad of problems in 2020. They aren’t unsolvable though. There was so much to unpack from the way the club fell behind 41-14 to the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, to eventually lose 49-38, it was tough to put it all into just one episode. It’s a good thing the Catch This Fade! podcast airs twice a week!

In the week’s first episode, K.D. and Patrik took on many of the issues and handed out four fades to the most egregious parts of the performance. The one they both honed in on was the performance of reserve running back and primary kick returner Tony Pollard. This one, has solutions and the Cowboys brass has to, absolutely has to consider these suggestions. It even invoked homages to Eminem and Dave Chappelle.
