How FS1 host, Chiefs fan Nick Wright coped with loss to the Bills (video)

Longtime host of “First Things First,” Kansas City Chiefs fan, and Buffalo Bills hater, Nick Wright, had to cope with his side’s loss in Week 12.

That doesn’t mean Wright had many nice things to say about the Bills, who beat the Chiefs in a 30-21 final.

“I’m not going to lie, I was sad,” Wright said. “But I’m not worried.”

Wright did call Buffalo the “best team” in Kansas City conference. Beyond that, he did not credit the Bills much at all. It was more about why the defeat was good for KC in the long run and essentially how the Chiefs lost it and the Bills did not win the game…

Wright’s head-scratching breakdown can be found in the clip below:

Bills LB Terrel Bernard named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Bills LB Terrel Bernard named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week following his team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12.

More importantly, Bernard notched a sack on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and intercepted him. The latter takeaway was the final play of the game for Kansas City’s offense as Bernard iced the 30-21 win.

Bernard’s impact stood out even further considering he missed this team’s postseason loss to the Chiefs last season. .

In total, Buffalo has taken home six total “Player of the Week” honors so far in 2024. The team record for the Bills in a single season is eight.

Bills’ Amari Cooper made comment Buffalo will love post-Chiefs win

Bills’ Amari Cooper made comment Buffalo will love post-Chiefs win

The Buffalo Bills haven’t gotten huge numbers from wide receiver Amari Cooper since he was acquired but he is making big plays.

That was evident in the team’s 30-21 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11.

Cooper only caught two passes but one was massive. It was a one-handed snag on the sideline which setup an eventual touchdown run from James Cook.

His catch caught attention from cameras after the game and the recently-added receiver made a comment about his new hometown that the people of Buffalo will love.

After the victory, Cooper commented on how playing for the Bills just feel different… in the most positive of ways.

“This is the first time, in a long time, I’ve felt joy from winning,” Cooper said. “Buffalo is a different kind of place.”

That’s some passion from the former fourth-overall draft pick of the Oakland Raiders, who has also played for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and not to mention: The University of Alabama in college.

After hearing the comment, even head coach Sean McDermott felt a type of uplifted way.

“That speaks to our culture and the environment we have here in Buffalo more than anything,” McDermott said via video conference.

Cooper is on an expiring contract at the end of the 2024 season after Buffalo landed him from Cleveland at the NFL trade deadline.

A contract renewal might be an option after his recent thoughts.

Taylor Swift gets shade thrown at her by Ryleigh Spector, wife of Bills player

Shade!

Taylor Swift wasn’t even at the Kansas City Chiefs’ first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills, but she’s gotten drawn into it thanks to the wife of a Bills player.

Ryleigh Spector, who is married to linebacker Baylon Spector, posted a photo from the win and wrote “9-2! Never a Swiftie” on an Instagram Story post.

Now, this is where I beg you: please don’t go after Spector for posting that. Trash talk is trash talk, and a little banter never hurt anyone (just ask Travis Kelce, who clapped to Bills fans after the loss).

But here you go:
