New York Jets at Buffalo Bills odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Jets at Buffalo Bills odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Jets (7-5) meet the Buffalo Bills (9-3) for Week 14 matchup Sunday. Kickoff at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Jets vs. Bills odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Jets are coming off a 27-22 loss on the road as 2.5-point underdogs against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13, and New York has lost its last 2 road games since winning in Denver in Week 7. New York was a 10-point underdog when it beat Buffalo 20-17 in Week 9 in East Rutherford, N.J.

The Bills are on a 3-game win streak, and they have scored 23 or more points in 4 straight games, and 8 of the last 9 outings. The lone exception is the 17 points they managed in the 1st meeting against Gang Green.

Jets at Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 24, Jets 16

Moneyline

The Bills will cost you 4 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s way too expensive, even at home, against a Jets side which beat them earlier this year.

AVOID.

Against the spread

Playing the JETS +10 (-113) is a much better value.

The Bills have failed to cover their last 3 games as a double-digit favorite, including the straight-up loss against the Jets in Week 9. And while the Jets have fallen off a little, dropping 3 of the last 5 games, each of the losses are 1-score games.

Over/Under

UNDER 43.5 (-107) is the lean here.

The weather forecast is calling for a mix of rain and snow showers with breezy conditions at 9-13 mph, before the precipitation changes completely to snow in the 2nd half. The weather conditions might limit the amount of passing we see, keeping the ball on the ground. Running keeps the clock moving, which Under bettors love.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Buffalo Bills (8-3) travel to meet the New England Patriots (6-5) for Thursday Night Football in Week 13 at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bills vs. Patriots odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Bills search for a 2nd consecutive Thursday victory after they hung on for a 28-25 win against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. Buffalo has scored 23 or more points in 7 of its last 8 games.

The Under is 7-2 in the past 9 games overall for Buffalo, including 2-0 in the first 2 games against AFC East Division opponents.

The Patriots are coming off a 33-26 setback in Minnesota on Thanksgiving Night, snapping a 3-game win and cover streak. The Over cashed against the Vikings, snapping a 3-game Under run, too.

New England has posted 2 wins in 3 games against AFC East foes this season, while also going 2-1 ATS. The Under is 3-0 inside the division for the Pats, too.

Bills at Patriots picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 23, Patriots 18

Moneyline

The Bills (-190) are just slightly over my personal money line limit for a singular play.

The Patriots (+160) are a tempting play due to their impressive defense that allows just 307.8 total yards per game (4th) and just 18.4 points per game (6th).

This is an especially tough game for the Pats, however, facing a Buffalo offense that has posted 415.9 total yards per game (2nd), 279.2 passing yards per game (3rd) and 28.1 PPG (2nd).

PASS, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

Play the BILLS -3.5 (-109) lightly, laying the 3 and a hook. Buffalo is just 1-3-1 ATS in its last 5 road games, but it’s 7-3-1 ATS in the past 11 games inside the AFC East.

Buffalo is also 3-0-1 ATS in the past 4 trips to Foxboro while going 5-2-1 ATS in the past 8 meetings overall. The road team is 19-7-2 ATS in the past 28 meetings in this series, too.

Over/Under

UNDER 43.5 (-110) is the play in this primetime matchup.

We’ll have temperatures around freezing and winds 9-12 mph, but nothing either of these northern teams can’t handle. In fact, each team might find the weather rather balmy.

However, the defenses are driving the train for this Under play. The Under is 6-0 in the past 6 road games for the Bills, while going 4-1 in their last 5 against teams with winning records. The Under is also 4-0 in the past 4 Thursday appearances for the Bills — including last week against the Lions.

The Patriots have hit the Under in 5 of the past 7 against AFC foes while going 4-1 to the Under in their past 5 games following a straight-up loss.

Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thanksgiving Day’s Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Buffalo Bills (7-3) and Detroit Lions (4-6) open Thanksgiving’s triple-header with the early game from Ford Field at 12:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bills vs. Lions odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

QB Josh Allen and the Bills beat the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field 31-23 last week, covering the spread as 7.5-point favorites. The game was moved to Detroit due to a snowstorm in Western New York. Allen threw for 197 yards with a TD in the victory.

The Lions, who were 3-point underdogs, went on the road and beat the New York Giants 31-18 in Week 11. Detroit was able to hold New York RB Saquon Barkley to 22 rushing yards on 15 carries.

If the Lions want to win this matchup, they’ll need to stop the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Allen from running and throwing all over them. It will be a challenging task for Detroit, which is 37-43-2 on Thanksgiving.

Bills at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 31, Lions 17

Moneyline

PASS.

The Bills (-450) are the far better team, but it’s not smart a smart sports betting strategy to risk 4.5 times your potential profit. I could see including them in a multi-team parlay, however.

Against the spread

BET BILLS -9.5 (-111).

The Bills just played at Ford Field last week because of the Buffalo snowstorm with 56,000 strong showing up and buying tickets within 48 hours of the announced change. The Bills were comfortable in the atmosphere, and this week will be no different.

While they won’t have close to as many fans this time, the Bills will feel right at home. Allen and WR Stefon Diggs will take advantage of Lions CB Okudah missing this game. Diggs, after being upset early last week by the lack of targets vs. Cleveland, will be fed this week vs. Detroit, perfect for Thanksgiving.

BUFFALO -9.5 (-111) is my FAVORITE PLAY in this game.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 54 (-113).

What will it take for this game to get to this substantial number? Buffalo to score 40.

While it’s possible, I don’t find it likely.

Last week, the Bills racked up 31 points. On a short week, they will look to get out with no injuries, while the Lions will use RBs D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams to shorten the game and keep the Bills offense off the field.

With limited drives being the goal, the game will be a slow paced, and the scoring is not likely to reach this number. While the game will be close, I don’t see it going Over 54. Therefore, UNDER 54 (-113) is the play.

Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Cleveland Browns (3-6) meet the Buffalo Bills (6-3) for a Week 11 battle at Ford Field in Detroit. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Browns vs. Bills odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Browns and Bills were forced to move this game from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. to Detroit due to several feet of lake-effect snow in western New York.

The airport in Buffalo opened Saturday morning, and the team should be able to catch its flight.

Cleveland has lost 5 of the past 6 games, going just 2-4 ATS during the span. The Browns have yielded 23 or more points in 5 of those past 6 outings, with the lone exception a 32-13 win on Monday Night Football in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Buffalo lost a crazy 33-30 overtime battle against the Minnesota Vikings at home. It simply needed to run out of its own end zone and maintain possession of the ball, but QB Josh Allen fumbled, and the Vikings pounced on it for a touchdown to take the lead. The Bills forced OT, but eventually lost in the extra session.

Browns vs. Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 38, Browns 17

Moneyline

The Bills (-360) will cost you more than 3 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk for not enough reward.

In the snow, the Browns (+300) would have been worth a roll of the dice, but they’re certainly not worth playing in neutral conditions indoors against a much more superior team.

PASS.

Against the spread

Playing BILLS -7.5 (-111) would normally be very risky business, as 7-and-a-hook is not attractive when betting a favorite. However, on a fast track indoors, Buffalo should be able to pile up the points against Cleveland’s struggling defense.

Allen and the Bills are going to be ornery after losing a tough one last week against the Vikings and then facing the travel adversity and emergency situation at home. Look for the Bills to take it out on the Browns.

Over/Under

OVER 50 (-110) is the play in this neutral-site affair.

Cleveland has cashed the Over at a 6-2-1 clip in 9 games overall this season, and the Over is 5-1-1 in the past 7 for the Browns against AFC opponents, while going 11-4-1 in the past 16 against teams with a winning overall record.

While Buffalo has cashed the Under in 6 of its past 7 games overall, it is facing a Cleveland defense allowing 26.4 PPG, 2nd-most in the NFL. The Bills offense is going to eat up the Browns in this one, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get into the 40’s.

The Minnesota Vikings (7-1) ride a 6-game winning streak as they go on the road to face the Buffalo Bills (6-2) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Highmark Stadium (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Vikings vs. Bills odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Bills could be without QB Josh Allen. The line dropped from the Bills favored by 9.5 points down to 3.5 points in the span of 1 hour Wednesday, but their odds have since become shorter.

If Allen can’t go, backup Case Keenum will face his former team. Keenum’s career highlight was the playoff Minneapolis Miracle win over New Orleans in January 2018. The miracle was a game-ending touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs when both were Vikings and got to the NFC Championship Game. Now both are Bills.

This is the 1st time Diggs has played Minnesota since being traded to Buffalo. The Vikings used the pick traded from the Bills to draft Justin Jefferson – a trade that has worked out immensely for both teams. Look for Diggs and Jefferson to be the focus of both offenses in this game of revenge and star talent.

Vikings at Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 31, Vikings 20

Moneyline

PASS

If I was going to make a bet on this, I would place a small wager on the Vikings getting almost 3:2 on the investment. Yet, given the unique circumstances noted above for Allen to miss his first game as a starter since 2018, it’s still not enough to convince me to make a bet on the underdog here.

Against the spread

TAKE THE BILLS -6.5 (-110)

My initial projection on this game was 38-17 Bills before the news because Minnesota always struggles with scrambling quarterbacks.

While the Bills have several key injuries beyond Allen (3 defensive starters and their 1st-round draft pick of 2022), Buffalo has built itself to be a Super Bowl contender by building depth through the draft and free agency.

Not having Allen would significantly alter my projection but not enough to jump off the bandwagon completely.

Over/Under

TAKE THE OVER 44.5 (-108)

This is where defensive injuries for both teams are going to impact this line. The Bills will be without their best pass rusher, an All-Pro safety and their middle linebacker is a question mark. Meanwhile, the Vikings will be without their best run-stuffer and a starting cornerback.

A storyline heading into this one will be that both teams benefited from the trade that sent Diggs to Buffalo, and I believe both Diggs and Jefferson are going to have big days by force of playcalling and design.

It may take until deep into the 4th quarter to hit the Over, but both teams are capable of scoring 27 points, which doesn’t leave a lot for the loser to have to accomplish to surpass this point.

First look: Minnesota Vikings at Buffalo Bills odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Minnesota at Buffalo Week 10 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Minnesota Vikings (7-1) travel to Orchard Park to battle the Buffalo Bills (6-2) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Vikings vs. Bills odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

Both teams come into this game after struggling on the road Sunday. The Vikings were able to come out with a 20-17 victory over the Washington Commanders while the Bills lost to the New York Jets by the same 20-17 score.

The struggle of the Bills was more surprising as Josh Allen and his 2 TD runs were the only offense Buffalo was able to generate against the New York Jets.

The Vikings have had some difficulties both outdoors and on the road. The Commanders were able to bottle up Kirk Cousins, making his first return to Washington since leaving to sign with Minnesota, and the Vikings offense for most of the game. That could happen again Sunday as the Bills bring the best scoring defense in the NFL to this game.

Vikings vs. Bills head-to-head

These teams have only played once in recent years, a 27-6 victory by the  Bills in 2018. Buffalo won by 21 despite coming into the game as 16.5-point underdogs.

Both teams have changed vastly since then. Both offenses are at a different level and both defenses have also improved. This will be a matchup between 2 of the best teams in the NFL this season.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Buffalo Bills at New York Jets odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[mm-video type=video id=01gh1kq7e75k22wawt2y playlist_id=none player_id=none image=https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/upload/video/thumbnail/mmplus/01gh1kq7e75k22wawt2y/01gh1kq7e75k22wawt2y-614f74764385eafaad4bdcca0bde6ec6.jpg]

The Buffalo Bills (6-1) travel to New Jersey to face the New York Jets (5-3) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bills vs. Jets odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Jets come into this game after laying an egg in a 22-17 Week 8 loss at home to the Patriots. QB Zach Wilson has not improved and with WR Corey Davis (knee injury) and Elijah Moore (sat Week 7 and played very little Week 8) missing time, the pass game has not had a chance to develop. The ground attack, once solid, has taken a hit with the season-ending injury (ACL) to rookie RB Breece Hall. The Jets traded for RB James Robinson (from Jacksonville) and if he can mesh with RB Michael Carter, New York could still have an outside chance to do some damage in the AFC.

The Bills on the other hand are the clear team to beat in the AFC. The Super Bowl favorites since the preseason, the Bills have done nothing to diminish the faith their fans should have in them.

QB Josh Allen has played at an MVP level, and he has not only a connection with WR Stefon Diggs but with WR 2 Gabriel Davis.

The defense, a worry with CB Tre’Davious White missing the beginning of the season, has been stellar as well. It leads the NFL in scoring defense (allowing 14.0 points per game) and with the offense being so good, this has led to a lot of lopsided victories. Buffalo beat the Green Bay Packers and QB Aaron Rodgers 27-17 last Sunday, but failed to cover as a 10.5-point home favorite — the loss handed Rodgers the first 4-game losing streak of his career.

Bills at Jets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 31, Jets 13

Moneyline

PASS. The Bills (-600) ML price is far too risky to wager on. It’s not wise to risk 6 times your potential profit.

Against the spread

BET BUFFALO -11 (-112).

The Bills have the best offense in the NFL when it comes to yards per game (430.6) — Kansas City is 2nd (403.3) — and as mentioned, the best defense in points allowed. This is not a good combination for the Jets, who are one-dimensional.

QB Wilson has not progressed and the Bills’ pass rush will eat him alive. When he can find time to throw the ball, the Bills’ White, likely to make his 2022 debut, will be there to defend any passes. This is not a good matchup for the Jets and Bills mafia will be extremely happy with the final result.

This is a mismatch all around, making BILLS -11 (-112) my FAVORITE PLAY of this game.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 46 (-110).

Both teams like to play games Under. So far this season, these teams have played 11 of their 15 combined Under games — Buffalo is 1-6 O/U, while New York is 3-5 O/U.

The only time the Bills went Over is when they put up 41 in a 41-7 victory vs. the Titans with an O/U line of 47. While the Bills score, as mentioned, they don’t give up points on defense.

QB Allen has also not been turnover prone, meaning the Jets will need to score on long drives. Something not likely to happen against this Buffalo pass rush and secondary. UNDER 46 (-110) is the play in this one.

The Green Bay Packers (3-4) seek to end a 3-game losing streak in Week 8, facing the Buffalo Bills (5-1) on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC) at Highmark Stadium. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Packers at Bills odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Packers are averaging only 18.3 points per game (PPG) this season. QB Aaron Rodgers has 11 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions this season, but the defense has been an issue, allowing 23 or more points in each of the last 4 games.

The Bills have won 3 in a row. They are second in the league in scoring, putting up 29.3 PPG — Kansas City is 1st (31.9 PPG). They allow the fewest points in the league at 13.5 PPG. QB Josh Allen has 17 TDs and 2 rushing touchdowns so far this season.

Packers at Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 29, Packers 17

Moneyline

There is nothing about how the season has gone for either team that suggests a reasonable prediction that the Packers will upset the Bills. They struggle defensively. Their receivers are hurt and have struggled to make big plays. Meanwhile, the Bills look like the best team in the NFL, both on offense and defense, and they are rested, coming off a bye week.

Betting the Packers (+380) is a “Hail Mary” and betting the Bills (-500) isn’t worth the action.

PASS.

Against the spread

In the Packers’ 3-game skid, only one loss has been by more than 10 points.

The Bills have 3 wins by more than 10 points.

The most points they have allowed this season is 21 points. They have covered the spread in both games this season in which they were favored by double digits.

BET BILLS -10.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Only 2 of the Packers’ games this season have had more than 46 points.

The Bills have only had 1 game with a total higher than 46.

BET UNDER 46.5 (-105).

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Buffalo Bills (4-1) and Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) face off in a much-anticipated Week 6 matchup Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Bills vs. Chiefs odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

This matchup between 2 AFC juggernauts is a rematch of one of the best postseason matchups in recent memory. The Chiefs beat the Bills in the divisional round last season 42-36, winning the game in overtime after QB Patrick Mahomes only needed 13 seconds to lead the Chiefs down the field to tie things up with a field goal in the 4th quarter.

The Chiefs have beaten the Bills in 3 of their last 4 matchups with the lone loss coming during the 2021 regular season. Kansas City is 3-1 against the spread (ATS) vs. the Bills during that span, and the Over is 3-1 as well.

The Chiefs and Bills are the top teams in the AFC — no other team in the conference has 4 or more wins. They boast the league’s 2 best offenses in points per game, and the Bills boast the league’s best defense in points allowed. Both squads also suffered their only losses this season in Week 3: Kansas City lost to the Indianapolis Colts, while the Bills were beaten by the Miami Dolphins.

Bills at Chiefs picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 34, Chiefs 31

Moneyline

This matchup was anticipated so much that CBS refused to let it off its network and reach prime time. That’s understandable since this game features the 2 best teams in the AFC and 2 of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

It’s a tough matchup to predict. Both offenses are rolling, but the Chiefs defense has allowed so many more points than the Bills and struggled against Raiders QB Derek Carr in Week 5. The Chiefs also struggle to contain running quarterbacks, and QB Josh Allen is Buffalo’s best runner on offense. Not to mention the Chiefs will be missing suspended LB Willie Gay Jr., who would normally be the main player called to contain Allen’s running ability.

I’m leaning toward the BILLS (-140) to edge out the Chiefs.

Against the spread

The 2.5-point spread is tricky because this will likely be a close game that could easily be decided by 1 or 2 points. Plus, the line could jump up or down before game time. With the juice on the moneyline so close to the spread, you’re better off AVOIDING the spread and putting your bet directly on the moneyline.

Over/Under

OVER 54.5 (-105) seems like a lock, so that’s my FAVORITE PICK for this matchup. The last 3 matchups between the Chiefs and Bills have gone Over 55 points — even the regular-season game last year when the Chiefs offense was mostly dominated by Buffalo.

Even with the Bills allowing the fewest points per game in the league, the Chiefs should be able to run up the score and keep up with the Bills. Kansas City put up 41 points on the Buccaneers defense, which has allowed an average of just 10.5 points per game in its other 4 matchups. All the signs point to this being a shootout.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (1-3) and Buffalo Bills (3-1) meet Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Steelers vs. Bills odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

Steelers rookie QB Kenny Pickett played in his 1st NFL game in a 24-20 loss to the New York Jets last Sunday. Pickett threw for 120 yards and 3 INTs on 10-of-13 passing as Pittsburgh failed to cover as a 3-point favorite.

Pittsburgh is 1-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 5 games.

Bills K Tyler Bass made a game-winning 21-yard FG in a 23-20 win at the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday. QB Josh Allen finished with 213 yards, 1 passing TD and 1 INT and ran for a score.

Buffalo is 9-1-2 ATS vs. teams with a losing record.

Steelers at Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 31, Steelers 10

Moneyline

PASS.

Bills (-1000) will hit, but the price is too high. The spread and the total provide better opportunities.

Against the spread

Bet BILLS -13.5 (-117).

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin has never been this big of an underdog ATS. This is not an opportunity for Steelers bettors, as the Bills have a Mike Tyson knockout quality. Expect Buffalo to win by margin vs. a vulnerable Pittsburgh team.

Over/Under

Bet UNDER 45.5 (-112).

The Under is 6-1 in their last 7 meetings and 3-1 in Buffalo’s last 4 games. Pittsburgh should struggle to score Sunday in Pickett’s first start and help the Under hit.
